Beautiful course, back 9 is amazing
A brilliant course. Got a great tee time and deal on golf now. I was a single golfer playing for first time.
Course well manicured (not enough divots replaced by players), greens play true and scenery, stunning (particularly back 9). Imperative to stay on fairways as tough is lush.
I was stuck behind a 3 ball of senior lady golfers for 6 holes on front 9 after I caught them up. Very slow play, refusal to acknowledge me waiting on every tee and didn’t play through. Despite signs on the course about pace of play. People like this seem entitled. Clearly members.
Overall highly recommend but check you are not stuck behind slow groups.

Westport with wife on holidays
Thoroughly enjoyed the course. We both felt the fairways could have been better but greens were top notch. Directions to next tees clear. All the staff and golfers friendly and helpful. Beautiful location. Will be back.
Open week at Westport G.C
Decided to play the course with a few friends the day after we had climbed Croagh Patrick. Managed to get a deal with the GolfNow app,€20 per person.
It just happened to be Open week while we were there so we expected the course to be in excellent condition. A bit disappointed as the fairways had not been cut. Bunkers could also have been raked. The outstanding part of the course is the greens. Superb condition and very receptive, with good contours and well maintained. Layout of the course is also very good, with generous fairways and you cannot beat the stunning views of Croagh Patrick. You have all the usual facilities at the clubhouse (Pro shop, changing rooms, bar and catering). Prices for food and drink are reasonable. Would play here again and hopefully the fairways will have been cut.
