Not to be confused with its famous nextdoor neighbor - the Golf Course at Adare Manor will host the 2026 Ryder Cup - the Adare Manor Golf Club is a shorter course (a par 69 playing roughly 5,800 yards) that's long on personality. It roams through a cemetery, an old friary and some castle ruins. It's origins date to 1900 but it has been tweaked multiple times by Roger Rulewich and legendary Irish architect Eddie Hackett.

Challenging course

Played this course a few times now ..never disappointed...challenging yet easy on the legs...a few holes you have to cross other fairways but that adds to the character..Beautiful derelict monastry at the heart of the course.with tree lined fairway..so keep the ball on the fairway

Fun Experience

We enjoyed our experience, the first golf course we ever played with a cemetery and the relic of a monastery in the middle of the course. The course is a very nice, in American terms, Muni. Course conditions are good, well maintained. The greens were good, rolling true, easy to read. Three holes share the same tee box complex, with teeing areas separated by shrubs. The rental clubs were marginal. The lady taking our reservations and checking us in two days later was a bit condescending. On the day we walked in for reservations I was wearing a jacket embroidered with the name of the Educational Institute at which I coach along with the title COACH. However, she still insisted on giving us a lecture on proper attire, including shoes. On the day of play, I was wearing a jacket of an amateur golf association as well as the title "RULES OFFICIAL". She lectured us on golf etiquette and dress code prior to releasing us to play. However, after the round several members asked us our impression of the course and thanked us for playing there.

Muni with Great Views

This par-69 course is next to the better (known) Adare Golf Resort. It's a tight little course with several multiple tee boxes, so get ready for cries of "Fore!" The views around an old friary and graveyard are great. Course is quirky with odd doglegs of the "how far can I hit it" variety. Seems to be a local haunt while the visitors go next door. Crowded with slow play, at least from the group who insisted on marking EVERY putt. Deidre in the pro shop was an absolute joy. Miserable windy drizzly day - perfect Irish golf weather.

Lovely Limerick

This is a course for smashing scenery from the off. You play amongst an old friary, some castle ruins and an old graveyard which is still in use. Plus you are very close to a lovely tourist town.

The course is not to be confused with the hotel of a similar name- this is the Original Adare Golf Club-old and mature but very welcoming, very down to earth.
I played with a trio of lads heading onward to Tralee for a weekend of fun and a GAA match.
