Prairie Golf Course at Pleasant View Golf Club
About
There are three championship nines at Pleasant View Golf Club in Middleton. The nines are each named after a different aspect of the varied landscape: Lake, Wood, and Prairie. The Lake nine naturally has the most water, but there is a large lake that makes an appearance on the Prairie's third hole. It's the only time water comes into play on the golf course, but you'll encounter other challenges including dense stands of mature trees that line the fairways and a few strategically placed bunkers. The eighth is one of the most challenging holes, featuring one of the hardest greens on the course to hold. If your drive is too short you won't make it up the slope, but you're also in for trouble if you're too long.

Nice Course, Nice People, Nice Price
I got tee time around 8 am on a Friday and was a single. They put me with another person who was walking (I had a cart).
We both played a round of 18 in less than 3 hours, which is great for a quick round of golf on a Friday morning.
Course was in very good shape. Greens were nice and the people at Pleasant View are very nice.
Since this is such a nice course with friendly staff and it is close by for me, I will be back often.
fun course and well kept
Greens were fast yet true. course was well maintained and looked good for heavily played. My wife and I had a ball and played around in just over 3 hours, even with a few short waits. I recommend trying it out. We'll be back soon. Cart person was around every 3-4 holes and was very friendly and cordial.
staff are not courteous
Staff are not as friendly and not very courteous at all.
Great course with 27 holes. Hilly course but not all holes. Good variety of challenges.
Play here at least a couple of times each year and this is the first time I encountered slow play. Not sure what might have caused it but it appeared to be busier than other times. A ranger on the course might have helped move play along. It appeared that a couple of groups on different courses slowed up the rest. The clubhouse was good about switching the courses we played but it did not help speed up play.
Great course!
This is one of my area favorites by far! Aside from some of the huge mosquitoes on the 6th & 8th holes, this course is always one of the most well-kept courses in the Madison area. Just challenging enough to keep moderately good golfer interested, but easy enough for even a new player to not get too frustrated!
Good course from the whites
Good deal on Golf Now. Good condition not busy and the course offered a challenge.
Nice challenging course for high to mid handicapper especially.
First time that I have played this course and we are making it our regular weekly course. It had been nicely maintained, has a good variety of difficulty on holes, and a good selection of 9's that are conveniently located to each other when you pair together for 18 holes. So convenient to West side of Madison.
Good pace at 6am
Course conditions were good for being so early in the morning (6am) and very similar to most of my experiences at Pleasantview. Greens were a bit slow from the dew, looking directly into the sun was a problem on 2 of the 18 holes and a recent mosquito hatch was motivation to keep moving. If the bugs weren't out in force I would plan to go back for an early tee time soon.
Well maintained course, slower pace of play
Friendly staff, we got on the course ahead of our tee time, the woodlands nine is challenging and scenic, pace of play was good on the first nine, but their was a 25 minute wait at the turn for slow groups, and a 10 minute wait on every tee on the back nine. Their was a slow threesome holding everyone up, and no ranger. We quit after 16 holes.
Hilly Challenge
It's a challenge because of the numerous hazards and the up and downhill lies. Scenic with views of downtown Madison and the green countryside (green in mid-May anyway).
