Fast Greens
Course was dry, so lots of runout in addition to windy conditions, but the greens were fast and true.
Heritage
Didn’t expect great and didn’t get it. But 8th green is virtually unplayable. Others ranged from good to so-so. Fairways are thin at best.
FRIENDLY. BUT. SCRUFFY
I am a new Golf Pass member finding myself in the area for a long weekend, price was reasonable and I did not find the ratings until after the round (did I say I was a new member?). Upon arrival I was met by two very friendly and knowledgeable cart guys. They both advised me of potential water problems (hazards) on 8, 9and 10. The fellow in the Pro Shop, possibly the head pro, was very friendly as well. One other Golf Pass member was paired with me and he was a pleasant companion. Now to the course. It is not particularly long and there are 4 or 5 different tees to suit your play. Best part of the course was the greens, fast and true. The rest of the course needs help. Scruffy is the best way I can describe it. Thin grass on many of the fairways and tee boxes. To be fair we are coming out of winter and with no overseeding fairways are bound to be tight. It’s obvious that the maintenance budget must be tight. I would like to try the course in June to see if the fairways are more lush.
FRIENDLY BUT SCRUFFY
As a new Golf Pass member I saw the ratings were good so took a chance and drove about an hour to play this course. The course pro and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. On the plus side, the greens were in excellent shape and pace of play was very good. On the negative side away from the greens much of the Course looked a bit scruffy. Tea boxes, and fairways were a bit thin on grass but this being March, maybe the growth hasn’t really started. I’d like to see it again in May or June to compare. Bring a few extra balls because holes 8, 9 and 10 have extra water crossings that can easily trip you up if you’re not cautious.
Love this place
I love this course I play every time I am in town, feels like home. People are friendly and food and drinks are spot on!
Good golf course
I have been to this golf course many times great staff course is getting better every time I play always a good time
Disappointing Course Conditions
This is our second year time playing this course. We had to wait to tee off on Hole 1, but that was fine. The layout is challenging, so we liked this about the course. What we didn’t like and was very disappointing was the poor conditions in the tee boxes and the greens. There were greens, where I had to move the ball as it was all dirt and sand. Even though the price is reasonable, you get what you pay for. We will not go back.
HR
I love this run, just wish they'd do s little more work to the tee boxes and greens. Only improvement I've seen in years is for drainage projects. With just patchwork bandaids here snd there on the course. Hopefully there is a plan in place to bring some shine back to this little gem...
Comfortable
Good mix - shorter par 4s , good assortment of par 3s, long par 5s. Enjoyed the change of pace. Played from men’s tees. I’m an above senior but not a long hitter. This course played nicely to reward good straight shots and had decent tee boxes and greens. Fairways were wide and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Hope to play there again.
