Nice Course. Wasn't very busy. Very relaxing round.
My second time playing this course. Most of the front nine is open with some challenges along the way. The back nine requires much more accurate shots. I like the course. It is better than I expected.
Nice layout - some unusual holes
Three cars in the lot when I arrived and a double wide trailer for the clubhouse had me a bit worried at first - course was nice though. Greens were inconsistent odd how slow some were and how fast others were. They will need to get the (mold?? moss??) growth under control on the greens to move to the next level where I would pay rack rate to play again. Hot deal on Golf now for $17 was good price. Several holes traverse ravines. slope of 127 from white was about right overall good for the hot deal price. Would be hard to pay full sticker price and feel good about it.
Great course, tough greens
Very nice new course, fairly difficult greens. I don't think there was one green that was flat, but a good challenging course all the same
Great course, scenic views
Course was challenging at times, requiring well placed shots. This is especially true of the 17th hole. Don't let the view distract you. Views of the countryside were great, especially on the back nine. Carts are well maintained and even provide rain protection for your clubs. Course is easy to find, not too far off the main highways.
Quick 18-One of the last Days of the Year
In the area with a couple hours to kill, so checked Golfnow, and it came through again for me. The only issue was distance from my location, but traffic was light so went quickly. After 7 holes, got stuck behind 2 3somes that did not let me go by (was by myself on a cart) but the course was in great shape. Went in and checked with the starter if okay to go back to one... NP. Nice course with some long 4s.
The course was in great shape and well maintained. Not very long, but was very challenging.
Loved the course and would play it as often as I could and would recommend it to my friends.
Greens have mold and very bumpy and difficult to roll the ball.
The greens have some problems. Mold and fungus has created a very bumpy surface.
Open on front to spray ball. Lots of hills if you like that on back especially
Course needs distances better marked. Greens need work.
Tee boxes some rough condition. Strange tee markers hard to tell which color you are playing. No water on course to drink.
No adult beverages available should that be your thing.
Course has challenges and great views
Course was very well maintained and has a combination of easy and challenging holes. The views of the landscape around the course are great.
tough course with below par conditions and some bad holes
If this course had another 30 acres or so and was kept in top shape, it could be justly called 'upscale'. It's still young, so part of the conditions (rocks and patchy rough) can be blamed on that, but the greens were slow and patchy while everything else was firm and fast. Very undulating greens are challenging even when slow, with challenging reads on the hilly back nine. There are some nice views. Try to block out #18 (worst hole on the couse) - the design is as bad as the conditions. With a bit more land the last bunch of holes could have been nice. 17 is a beauty, but you can't hit driver. Bring a range finder or gps and your own water.
BEST public course in the area bar none!
Me and my buddy had no idea what to expect when we arrived here and from the moment you park your car you can already see this gorgeous course set up in the hills. It was also only 20 minutes from the Lehigh Valley which was MUCH closer than we anticipated.
The guy in the pro shop was unbelievably courteous and had an enthused energy about the course. The greens were challenging but the hole layouts were amazing. We played from the Blue Tees to give ourselves a better feel for the course and there's a 250 yard par 3, 610 yard par 5, but what really sets this course apart are the strategic holes with the elevated greens and crazy doglegs.
I highly recommend this course and I've played over 30 different courses from Golfnow just this summer and this has been my #1. Between the course layout and the incredible views/scenery I cannot wait to go back and play it again. If you have a chance to play here do it now because once the secret's out you'll have trouble getting a tee time.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
a pleasant new find
I had never even heard of Woodbridge before I read the one review on golfnow.com.. We got a Sunday rate of 14 dollars so I had to try this place.. The course is cut out of the cornfields on a super hilly piece of land.. I guarantee you that you will never play such a hilly course as this.. For a mid level course this course was maintained very nicely and the greens were quite good.. Do not let the 6200 yds fool you that this is a pushover course.. This course plays much longer than that due to elevation changes.. The course is relatively new so many of the trees are young and small.. The 2nd hole is a handful of a par 5 and plays longer than the 612 yds listed. You also have a 250 yd par 3 on the front 9 that will require the good player to hit driver.. The 10th hole is an uphill 210 par 3 that plays much longer. There are a few par 4's that require strategic layup tee shots.. The views are lovely on this course and its a terrific value.. Go play this course..
Beautifull Course, Very scenic landscape
Course was in Excellent condition. One of the best I've played. Only downfall is there is NO drinking water on course and did not see roving beverage cart at all, so pack water. This course is very HILLY, but BEAUTIFULL over all. Hidden Gem !
Nice, open course, well cared for
greens are very hilly. The hole placement can lead to many 3 putts
