Excellent Course; worth the drive. Friendly staff. Challenging for the intermediate and advanced golfer.

Enjoyed the overall beauty of the course . Was a bit challenging but not overly so . Greens were quicker than other courses I've played . Had a friend from Fla. in town and he really raved about the course conditions .

Lyon Oaks is a beautiful golf course well-maintained. The greens Held shots and rolled true...perfect.

I saw a couple posts about this course being a little over priced. I strongly disagree. I will gladly spend the extra $10-15 for Lyon Oaks when you compare what the golf course has to offer stacked up to other courses in the area. The course conditions are on the same level as the Orchards, which seems to get all the credit for being the best maintained public course in the area. Lyon Oaks is easily in that discussion as well. Lyon Oaks is definitely a challenging course if you struggle off the tee, but it is not a course that constantly beats you up holes 1-18. My only gripe with the layout is hole #14. Not much room off the tee and anything left is dead while anything missed to the right will likely greet you with an awkward stance to an uphill approach shot. Its just not a quality golf hole but by no means does that make Lyon Oaks a poor track. Excellent golf course with conditions that are always superb. Almost a hidden gem in some fashion but its a must play.

Regular prices are a little high... I played with discount rates which made it a fair value, otherwise would night have played at regular price.. There are other nice courses in the market at more reasonable prices. Course employees were very friendly. I would recommend a friend with discount rate.

I hadn't played Lyon Oaks in several years. My golf game had gone south over the last few years due to lack of play. I was not confident that my game was close to challenging this magnificent course. With a lot of practice and play this year, I couldn't wait to play this challenging but playable and scorable track. It didn't disappoint. The layout was as fantastic as I remembered and the greens were in great shape except for the fact that there were many unrepaired ball marks. With the 50% Golf Now discount, it was my best golf value of the summer.

What is there to say? This is the best of the the best in Oakland county. Have not played here in 14 years and I am impressed. Heavy rain night before round yet drainage was great. Greens are large and "fast." . Hit the fairway and you can score. Courteous Staff, great scenery, and pleasant weather , not to mention I was first off the box as a single. A golfers dream. Won't tell what I payed but I feel like I stole this round. Would easily pay double.

When they say fast on their posting they're not kidding.
Started got us out before 7 am and we were done just after 10.
Course was in great shape, just a little soggy after the prior day's storms.

There to golf with a friend who came in from out of town. Had two additional friends join us. Course was in good shape. It is challenging for the occasional golfer. I left several balls there.

WOW...First time golfing this course....nice well maintained Oakland county course.Friendly staff and cordial ranger who kept a good eye on the pace of play.He allowed us to start a little early while a prior 4 some waited for some of their group to show up.Once we got underway played as a 3 some and only had a few holes waiting on the group in front. We did the 18 in 4 hours and the course time on the card is 4.5 hours.Deer/turkey/and the usual rabbits and squirrels were noted during out round.This is a course we will play more in the future for sure.Overall the course from practice areas and tee to green including bunkers were excellent

Tough greens long course fr blue and white, but worth it

A great staff beautiful conditions even with an inch of rain the night before course was in amazing shape. Will be playing again very soon !!

Excellent course that is challenging! One of the best courses in lower Michigan.

A few of the holes are laid out too long for a 10 handicapper. Conditions were wet and cart path only. Would have been easier to walk. Greens were not as good as previous time played

Everything went very well course was busy but pace went just right never waited more than a couple minutes , ranger was out and friendly. But kept thing rolling along. Finished up in about 4 hours as a four some.
Weather was poor but course was draining well some soft spots but overall considering the weather.
Will play again soon.

Love the course, lots of risk and reward. Bring a lot of balls if you are hitting it crisp.

This course is not as good as rated very hard and the greens were really slow. Nice bunkers, and clubhouse, nice fairways and practice range. But I did not like the setup or the greens, not worth $70 bit for $15 on hot deal is a steal

The course was in great shape. Bunkers have true sand, greens rolled nice, and everything was well manicured. Pace of play was slow but it had something to do with the level of play.

Course in good condition. I didn't get to finish 18 holes. I thought Tuesday in the afternoon(12:20) wouldn't be busy but after the second hole, I waited in every hole. 3.5 hrs later, I just finished the 11th hole. I saw foursomes waiting on holes ahead of me. I left.
