Great course in excellent condition. Greens in great shape & not too fast. Lots of hilly terrain. Great views from the tee boxes & many sand traps. Makes a very good day.

Hidden gem in mid-Michigan! Wel taken care by the staff. Greens were fair fairways were perfect.

Big wide fairways, well groomed, greens nice but not to fast and in super shape. Nice test of golf but does not beat you up! Great track!

Played The Dream last year and thought we would try playing The Nightmare this year. Wow! What a great course! Fairways and greens were in great shape, and the staff is friendly.

No nitemare just a pleasant course to play. Greens and fairways are in top conditions. Course has plenty of water drinking stations and coolers on carts to ice down beverages.

Beautiful golf course. I expected pretty good conditions from the things I've heard, however, tee to green, the course was in phenomenal shape. Greens were gorgeous, and large. Fairway landing areas were generous also, but well placed bunkers - and they are large - come in to play constantly. Although the name suggests otherwise, this course is very fair to play for mid to high handicappers. It's visually an outstanding golf course, and it's laid out wonderfully. I'd highly recommend it. I know some feel the price is a bit steep, however, the quality of golf and the experience you get from playing a course like this is worth it. I've played rounds at much poorer courses for only $20 or $30 less. Don't worry, that little bit of extra money is well worth it.

So, I'm a San Diegan, visiting family, who live in the Gladwin, MI area, and I'm always looking for interesting, challenging golf courses that I can find good deals on. In the past 4 years, I've played some very good golf courses at an extremely good value. Sheperd's Hollow, near Detroit is the all time fave, and I seriously played it for under 50 bucks! Huron Breeze, Pohlcat, Hawk Hollow & Wild Bluffs are also courses that I've managed good twilight deals on. Today, I played one of the most relaxing rounds of golf i've ever played at The Nightmare (ironic, right?) Dan, the owner, was one of the friendliest owners that I've ever met! He hooked me up with Courtesy Sticks because my luggage rate was already off the chain for the airlines, being that I have two children. He even, but dont expect this for you, let me use the driver and 3 wood from his own bag -- What a Guy! His family driven golf course gave a friendly feel where anyone can feel welcomed. I'm critical of golf courses and was extremely impressed with the Nightmare's well- manicured timber lined holes, along with his quick, undulating greens that were in great shape. The holes all had their own identity, yet uniform so it didn't seem incongrous, like a Mt.Pleasant course that I know. The fairways are bendy, yet large and fair, while the bunkers are well-maintained and appropriately placed. The par 3's are fairly straight forward, and were not especially challenging, minus hole #14, which is a beast of a par 3 (Gotta be dead on for this one). The par 5's are challenging, and long, very long! And the par 4's particulally #3 and #13 are beastly. The back 9 was incredibly peaceful. Just me, the wild turkeys, and lot's of deer. The collective experience was incredible and unexpected and this course needs more write ups!

This course was in great condition. I didn't think it would be this well maintained being it was the second week of October when we played it. I will recommend this course to everyone I know. Will make the trip back up to West Branch and play this course again.

Although it was foggy the day we played,we thoughly enjoyed this golf course. Interesting holes ,and well maintained.But the best feature is the vast fairways ,and large sandtraps and greens.Great course for bombers off the tees and those who want to improve their long putts.The courses name should not worry prospective golfers

The Tribute is a beautiful course to golf in the fall. Really enjoyed it. Going back again this week.

Note: Never golfed the Classic course so no opinion there.

course was in excellent shape, they need to lower there price and get some play in it, but thats there problem. we loved it played round in less than 4 hours, alot of wildlife to be seen also.

This course has great visual appeal. Wide, inviting fairways. Fun, challenging elevation changes without any silly "mountain goat" stuff. Excellent greens. The Nightmare and its sister course, The Dream, are ideally located just off I-75 between Detroit and Northern Michigan. Play one on the way up and the other on the way back!

Love this course. Wide forgiving fairways. Sister course, The Dream, is also one of my favorite. Both are absolutely wonderful.

I completely enjoyed my golf now tee time experience. It was only surpassed by the day of golf at the Nighmare golf course. The process was easy and went flawless considering It was the first time using your site. Midday tee time at a great rate. We had the course to ourselves minus a few senior groups that allowed us to play through. I've played the best courses Michigan offers and this course didn't disappoint. $29 dollars with a $15 dollar charge to play an additional nine holes after my original 18 is a steal for this quality course. I already booked the loon course at Loon resort for midday tee time mid week for $15. Yes that not a typo or lie. Forest dunes for $150 dollars. I don't think so. I can play comparable courses all week for one round there. Thanks for my affordable vacation golf.

I would highly recommend this course. Very playable and in great condition.

Beautiful views and very friendly, Alcoholic drink on the course not available but will let you bring in from outside. Coolers on the carts was a nice addition on hot days

Course was in excellent shape. Long, but not punishing. Played at 6500yds. Forgiving off the tee. Free range balls were included. Would definitely play again.

We played this course for $34/18 holes with cart through GolfNow.
It was a fantastic round of golf for that price (regular $65).
The course has some elevation and not flat like mid-Michigan.
It is well maintained.

Except for some remaining winter burn on some of the greens, at least that's what I think it is, the course was absolutely gorgeous. This is going to be my favorite course.

The good impression started with the young cart guy meeting me at my car.The manager and all the course workers were also extremely friendly and helpful.
This is not a long or terribly difficult course, though there are some strategic decisions about how confident you are to carry water.. It is well maintained and it is a very good layout.
Great par 3's. You will enjoy this course.
