Macatawa Golf Club

Great facility at Macatawa Legends, with an amazing clubhouse and great views around the course. The course its self was in great shape and had perfect greens and fairways. I highly suggest this course to any and all golfers!

Played on a really windy day (25+ mph)as storms were coming in but was a great time.
Course is in excellent shape and greens were lightning fast especially down wind.
Everything was great, staff was friendly, food was good. Great experience.

We booked a last minute mid afternoon tee time on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Expected play to be slow, but after #1, we never saw the walking twosome that played ahead of us the rest of the day (as a riding threesome). We also didn't have anyone pushing us- for the record- and played 18 within 4 minutes of recommended pace of play. Going back soon!

First time playing Macatawa Legends and will definitely be back. I'll start of by saying how friendly the staff was from the golf shop, to the bag drop and all the food and beverage staff...one of the best I have experienced.
Next was the course which was in excellent shape and a fun layout. Greens were fantastic and faster than the private club I play back home...kudos to the Superintendent.
Their carts have GPS and it takes a little getting used to the areas the carts let you go, but we figured it out after the second hole (they won't let you get too close to green or drive in fescue), but if it make the course be in as great of shape as it was it is no problem.
Had a great sandwich afterward. If I lived in the area it would be my go to club...spectacular

There was no indication that they had just aerated the greens and cut down all the heather (this was in September still)...I would have been upset if I paid full price. This was also my first time returning since the course first opened, and I have heard a lot of good things about condition (hard to gauge with punched greens). The facilities are top notch, but the course has a little growing up to do still. Also, the restaurant has absolutely nothing to offer for post round food.

Excellent fairway conditions on this link style course, but they aerated greens 2,3 & 4 and almost ruined them with deep grid-like gouges all across the greens. It affected your putting unfortunately...very disappointing. Otherwise the course was in great shape. The staff was very friendly and the pace of play was quick. Very little elevation changes, but tons of water on almost every hole. The play book was real handy especially when playing it the first time. Scenery had few trees, but a lot of gaudy looking homes! Club house is awesome with ballrooms for corporate events, etc. This style of course was fun to play and a nice change from many of the courses that are cut through forests in our areas and to the north. I will play it again but will wait for the GolfNow discounts.

What a great course especially for the money. Course was in fantastic shape with fast greens. Very friendly golf shop staff, I had a bunch of questions and they took the time to answer them in a friendly fashion. We were a twosome and were paired with a couple members and had a great time with them.

Great course in Holland MI. Course is fabulous and sites are incredible. Course was challenging but not possible

Course was in great condition. Great test of links golf, receptive large fairways, large greens that rolled true and enough water hazards to keep your attention. I have now found my second great course to play during our family vacation in Holland Michigan. Hopefully this track says public. Thanks ML staff.

Really enjoyed my day at Macatawa Legends, first time and won't be my last.
First the staff was very friendly, from the cart kids to beer cart girl to a guy who looked like he was doing cleaning. The course was great, good layout, plush fairways and fast greens. Afterward stayed for a sandwich and had a very good Reuben,. Great experience and a great value.

Course was in GREAT shape (which is the case every time I've played Macatawa Legends). Price is a tad high for the area, but it's less expensive than other area courses such as The Ravines.

Course is a great place to play and I would give it 5 stars but the geese are starting to wreak havoc on a few holes.

Overall a great round of golf but wet for the first 9. The course was in excellent condition greens were remarkably fast considering the rain. I'd go back in a minute.

Good shape and played a little slow due to weekend players..

Played during twilight rates which are a great value.

The course, while flat, has several longer holes, water, and strategically place bunkers to make the course more difficult.

The course is always excellently maintained with relatively quick and true greens.

Anytime you have a chance to play it as "Hot Deal" or during twilight rates - take advantage of it.

It's a newer course so not many trees but it is very challenging for beginners.

Great course. Has a good adversity of bunkers, water, and ungelation.

I played this course on my annual golf vacation. The fairways were in great condition but if you get off of them the heather grass will make you pay. The greens were very fast. I would definitely recommend this course if you're looking for a fun but challenging course.
