Macatawa Golf Club

One of the best maintained courses I have played this year. Greens were fast but playable. All in all on a scale of 1 to 10, it gets a 10.

Played with two members so had course knowledge.

Carts have iPad like GPS mapping so never an issue knowing what is ahead or how far to get over things of water in fairway which are common. Simply tap on where you would like the yardage and it show you distance to spot as well as remaining to pin.

Greens are fast but no wild hilly breaks so test them in the putting green.

Nice electric carts come with towel cooler and bucket of sand.

Cart paths are concrete around tees and greens.

May not allow public play forever but loads of fun

If anyone is reading reviews to see if this course is worth it. Stop right here. I’m home from LA for a few weeks in Kalamazoo and I drove up with my dad and some of his buddies. The 70 min drive from Kzoo to Holand was perfect and the course was PERFECT. Greens were just sanded but I didn’t think about it twice. 1-18 are all spectacular with a beautiful surrounding community. Staff was great, we teed’d off at 9am on a Tuesday and never had an issue with pace or course matinance. I must have seen 20 happy employees working on the course. Thank you macatawa for the breathtaking views and feels

The course has plent of challenges for the skilled golfer. It also has a well pleasing layout for novice golfers. Choose your risk. Very nice corse for the money and all of the amenities.

I like fast greens but these were the fastest I have ever put it Fairways were cut very tight you could hit a good drive in the #BAL would roll off into the water All in all the course is in beautiful shape had a great day

course in great shape,At the turn we coukd not find anyone in the club house to help us find food drinks or to purchase golf balls

They ranger out there sometime to move the slow Players
Never play 6 hour and 45 minute round of golf for 18 holes

I don’t love the look of houses lining the golf course but they certainly don’t affect play where they are and seem to be very nice homes. Carts have GPS that are a litttle restrictive to get to stray shots, but that was only a minor inconvenience.

Greens were fast and holes that happened to be playing into a strong wind were very long.

I was visiting from the SF Bay Area and this was my second visit to MacLegends. Thoroughly enjoyed the course again and look forward to getting some revenge on the mild wind that I blamed for all my poor shots!

Play this course a few times every year, front nine tough, but then it eases up a little on the back. Greens always roll true and fast. Bring your knockdown shot as it is usually windy here.

Some greens will have 2-3 breaks in them, even within 15-20 feet of pin, this it can feel like mini golf sometimes. Yardage markers and GPS were off by as much as 10 yards. My phone GPS was more consistent than cart. Still would play again. I enjoy the layout and with Hot Deal very much worth it.

Lots of water, seams long even from gold tees. Were sanding greens but roll was pretty good.

Fun layout. Back nine easier to score. Green roll true. Try to avoid downhill putts. Golfers were friendly and let our twosome play through. Definitely recommend.

First time playing this course, we were in the area for business. It was a great course in awesome shape. It is set up to potential be very challenging but yet accommodating to less experienced golfers via the tee placements. We loved the GPS screen in our cart. I'm glad we had it because there were a lack of directional signs on the course as to where the next hole was. It would have been nice if range balls were included with green fees. We played on a day of a big local tournament, so the staff was rushed trying to accommodate everyone and did a pretty good job, despite some bickering from a couple of the cart boys in front of us who didn't think we were paying attention to their conversation. Would play here again if in the area again.
