Best course in Jackson area
Great value and challenging. Not a good course for a beginner, but perfect for average golfer or someone that needs a challenge
Great course for a great price.
This course offers some tee times where they are begging you to play. Let me say that you should take them up on that. A great course that lies under most peoples radars. The only downside is the thick heather sometimes can snatch up shots where other courses might be more forgiving but if you play good shots the scores here are sure to follow.
One of the best courses in Jackson!
Very challenging and scenic course. Many unique holes and tough greens. Great value for the money on GolfNow
Course was great. Pace of play terrible.
Course was in great shape and very fun to play for the cheap price we got. BUT I am unsure if I would play there again. The pace of play was terrible! Over 5 hours for 18 holes.
The group in front of us played the blues. They should have been on the whites if not closer. They regularly hit multiple balls off of the tee and took 4-5 practice swings for their 8-10 strokes a hole (rushing a swing doesn't help, but come on; it went 5 yards!)
In all fairness this was a Sunday afternoon in July with nice weather and we did not ask to pass as we thought it was the whole course as the group directly in front was slow, but they were waiting to take their shots as well. But by the end we could tell this was not happening on the whole course, just with the two groups in front of us. There was never a ranger on any of the holes to speak with on this, just the starter. We were going to go inside to complain at the end, but after that long we just wanted to get the heck out of there.
This would have been a 4 star review at least if it were not for this pace of play. Again very nice course, just slow.
The course was in great shape.
The pro shop attendant was not happy with golfnow, saying that they have had problems with their booking times, especially when only one person purchases a tee time. That being said, they were accomodating in getting me a new tee time within a reasonable length of time.
One of, if not the nicest most challenging courses I've played all season
From tee to green this course is immaculate. Makes you not want to waste such nice conditions with a bad shot.
Challenging, including the greens ... but beautiful!
Beautiful course with rolling hills, many bunkers in strategic locations, & tough greens. Each hole is very secluded from the next, so you don't see or hear other golfers on the course. Came up to one tee box and a deer was having lunch about ten yards away. Kept eating as he watched us tee off, get a couple of pictures of him and then drive the cart right past him!
A bit shaggy.
We did play fairly early in the morning(8:42am) and it was a bit chilly & damp. But it didn't seem that the greens had been cut that day. Very inconsistent. But the rest of the course has in great shape.
nice layout well trapped
a couple of issues. the blind greens are a little difficult for playing there for the first time. also hole 14 for the average woman golfer is very intimidating for a second shot.
great championship style golf.
staff was extremely busy from an outing just finishing up. The outside staff got me a cart immediately and the shop was great.
The course is the real treat. It's refreshing playing a course that caters to all levels. From the tips, you are playing a tournament condition course. From the difficult tee shots to the unique green complexes, this course has everything you could ask for. I highly recommend it.
Worth Playing. A Putting Challenge.
The course is nice. The Grande has some interesting holes. Just about every green is large, but has a ton of slope and usually at least two tiers. The greens hadn't been mowed for a bit when I last played so they were rolling a little slow for their design. They had the pins placed in some pretty tough spots too.
The fairways were mostly pretty open with a bit of trouble here and there. I was free to swing away with driver on almost every tee.
The Grande has a nice range along with a chipping green and putting green.
Full price ($50 or so) seems to be a little high in my opinion, but then again I'm cheap. I got a great deal through golf now so this wasn't an issue.
A fun course. I would play there again and recommend it to a friend.
One of the best coures I have played.....
Like the title says....
I go down about 5 or 6 times a years to play this course. Great elevation changes and big greens.
Cold day to golf, but the course was in excellent shape for early spring golf.
Although it was snowing on and off throughout the round, it was an excellent day of golf.
many tee boxes
nice course and many tee boxes. Green have good speed
everything was great
Well watered & maintained. No hard pan areas. Green are fast, true, & soft. Can shoot for the pin. Need to play once to get familiar with course. Great course to play.
The Grande is a must play!
This course layout is exceptional, large fairways and greens and well maintained!
My Favorite course for the Money
I love this course. Its usually in great share and not all that busy and the greens fees are super affordable, especially for the quality of the course and the great holes and views you get. Other than two holes where you can barely see the road, this is an "up-north course" with huge fairways and greens with a bunch of really fun holes. I put this course up against any in the state for the quality and price.
Good Value - Great Course
Great course especially at the discounted rate. Challenging but playable.
Fantastic Course!
Played on a weeknight following a league, so the pace was brutally slow. However, the course was gorgeous and in great shape. Loved it
