Great value Course, will go again
Went to Binder part for the first time after reading other reviews. Was VERY happy with everything, club house guy great, cost ($39 for myself and son-inlaw) with cart. Recommend highly
Solid Battle Creek Muni
Not sure why it took me as long as it did to finally play binder park, but it was worth the wait. I do not have any golf now complaints that should not be posted on this forum. Rather, I’ll focus on the tremendous layout, great course conditions and terrific layout.
Charles Scott is the architect of record and he has designed a lot of solid to. Wry good courses in southwestern Michigan. He is more known for his courses at Gull Lake Resort, but BP is another solid design by him. Course plays through gently rolling terrain on the Natural and Preserve 9s with the Marsh having a couple holes with larger elevation changes and tighter holes.
The conditions and cost to walk were terrific. There were too many holes that could be signature holes which is a good problem to have. Course has a superb practice area as well as three practice holes.
Poor Staff
Nothing bad to say about the course itself, overpriced but it was still average. My only complaint is that I prepaid on GolfNow for 3 of us to play 18 and the gentlemen behind the counter still charged us 11 per person after I showed him my email where it said zero due at course. After going back and forth we ended up paying 11 each to get keys to the carts because he was clueless. I’ve used golfnow many times and this is the first time I’ve been charged more at the course. Won’t ever be back.
made the best of a bad situation
booked on golf now and when we get there they are having an outing. Shotgun start at 8:00 our tee time was 7:00. pro shop said we could start and see how many holes we could play before 8:00 we finished the front 9 at 8:10. very much appreciate them allowing us to play even though golf now made a mistake. thanks again. hustling allowed me to play my best round to date 38-38 for a 76. wohoo! play faster it will improve your game.
Course has challenging layout
We played 2 hours later than original tee time with Golf Now because of rain(it moved out) they honored GN price discount.
course was in great condition, staff was friendly. will definitely play again.
Excellent value, good course
A hidden gem near Battle Creek. Will definitely pay this course again. Good condition, good layout.
will play again
The course was in fairly good shape considering the snow had just melted and the grass is just starting to grow the staff were all pleasent and seemed glad we were there
Great fun with Hubby!
We played this course for the first time about 3 weeks ago. The desk staff was harried, not nice. Turns out, there was an outing and not all participants had arrived timely. We decided to give them a second chance and I'm glad we did.
There are three courses available to play. We didn't play The Natural the first time we were here. Don't miss the opportunity to play this nine. Hills, valleys, swales, flat fairways were all in play and made for great variety. Don't attempt to walk this nine...you'll regret it!
Just a short drive from Binder Park Zoo, you could hear the train whistle signaling fun for the kids!
Great layout, great course condition, & friendly staff.
Absolutely loved it. Great layout and the condition was near that of a private club. Friendly staff. The course has everything you want in a golf course and is moderately challenging but fair. Cannot wait to play it again.
Hi kkost42,
On behalf of the management staff at Binder Park, I wanted to let you know this issue was a GolfNow technology issue and not something that could be controlled by the staff. I am a local representative of GolfNow and in a nut shell, the staff member who was charging you $11 was following what our software told him to do.
