Slow round
Course needed Rangers to get people moving. Two some ahead of us fell way behind a threesome. We were very tired of waiting on them.
Good shape but pace of play was horrendous
Came here on a Saturday but 6 hours is just downright bad no matter what day of the week it is with hardly any attempts to get it going. Loved playing Willow growing up but I don’t think I’ll be coming back for a while. Weekdays aren’t bad just go early.
Terrible Pace of Play
Although the check in counter clearly stated to Tee Off on #10 to start. The staff still allowed people to tee off on #1 without directing them to the correct tee box. Which caused an hour back up at the turn. Which then made me have to cut my round short because on top of that, it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. The course had no Marshall to regulate pace of play and on a Saturday, that is unacceptable.
Always well maintained.
It’s a Metropark course so it’s always well maintained. Pace of play was good too.
Willow Metro
The fairways and greens were ok. The sand traps were bad, no rakes in any bunkers. The on course toilets were locked, they did have few ports-potties.
The pace of play was slow, 5 hour round!
The course was in fantastic shape, but they book too many groups for the same time. Pace was extremely slow.
Slowest round I have ever played
After 14 holes that took 5 hours, we decided to just leave. We had an inexcusably bad group in front of us that spent time digging through the woods and pulling balls out of the water on pretty much every hole. Ready golf was a concept that clearly had never been exposed to. Im sure the experience would have been great had it not been for those people. No marshal to be found but the couse was in good shape and it was inexpensive to play.
Not great
Real slow play the day I was there (Thursday midday) and also real buggy. Only positive was that you didn’t have to pay a park entrance fee to play golf.
