Great COurse
Great Staff, Great Price and Great Course! You can't go wrong here, unless you hit a house!!
Disappointed
I came into the round with high expectations but came away disappointed. The course layout is your standard layout that you will find at any course that winds through residential properties. There were large patches on the fairways with no grass and just dirt. The bunkers were hit and miss. I ended up in two of them. One was maintained well and the other was just mud. I would not come back again. For the same price you could play Eagle Crest or Moose Ridge.
Great Course
Always a pleasure playing Pheasant Run. Its a beautiful course will 27 holes and its always a challenge. Ive had a few incidents where slow groups needed to be addressed but the ranger is always quick to let a group know that they need to let another play through. The fairways are beautiful and the greens were perfect. Highly recommended course.
Good day
Played the west and north courses. Very nice course although the greens were a bit slow. Best thing about Arthur hills courses is they're always fair. Houses on #7 north are ridicously close.
Great value
One of the best kept courses I've played this season. The course is challenging for all skill levels. Water comes into play on many holes and greens are well protected. Some of the holes on the 2nd nine are wide open Scotland links style with rolling terrain. Although built around a housing development the veiws on the holes are very nice due to good groundskeeping. Only downside was a previous group of golfers had obviously twisted spikes on greens tearing them up, but not courses fault. Will definitely add this course to my favorites to play again, especially if I get another $33 deal.
Nice course but layout is weird
Nice course but the layout and distance between holes is weird, over bridges , through tunnels, crossing neighborhood roads. The rough was a bit thick when I played I lost a couple balls that were barely off the fairway. Overall it's a nice course and close to home so I'll play it again.
challenging course
Staff was very friendly i never felt rushed...course timing was good..nice pace...will play there again
It's was ok
It was ok. Horrible pace of play. Awful. 4 groups on each hole.
Great shape
Very well maintained for the time of year I played. Leaves were picked up unlike other courses I have played in the last month.
Challenging and Fun
What an absolutely wonderful course and in immaculate condition. Played the West and the North. Hole #27 is a par 5 that is worth the price of admission by its self as it will put all of your skills to the test. Will definitely be back to play the south.
Great Course, Great Value
I would call Pheasant Run my home golf course. No matter how many times I play this course, I want to come back for more. It may come to no surprise that it is my favorite course in Southeast, MI. The course seems to always be in good to great condition and is very well maintained. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are well kept and fast. I play this course at least 3 to 4 times a month and can't remember having a bad experience. West can be a little long, South in my opinion is the toughest and North is a little easier than the other two. I like that the holes are spread out from each other. You don't play into other holes/golfers very often which is always nice. If you spray the ball there are a few holes where you will get into trouble with water, woods, etc. The one downfall is it has many holes with houses bordering, which means if you hit it far enough you may be in someones backyard or worse in there window. I would recommend this course to anyone that is in the Southwest Detroit region!
Great course
Challenging but fare greens were in great shape plays differnt from each tee box
AAA+++ Course
It's been a while since I played this course since they added the extra 9. Nice layout with nice greens and fairways.
Enjoyable
Used my 2 for one GolfNow hot deal reward. My buddy and I played all 27 holes plus more (33 total) and paid all of $27!!!
For some fortunate reason, we had no one behind or in front all day.
The course has a very nice layout. Water can eat you up if not careful. Speedy greens with elavation changes.
Fairways are dolly in many spots.
Good bunkers, could have used some deeper raking to fluff a little more. But had good sand.
This turned out to be one of my best days golfing and had lots of fun. Thanks Al.
Great Course
This was my 1st time back since they added the extra 9 holes. Challenging course and like today, the pins can be place in extremely difficult locations. Greens rolled nicely with only a few showing signs of past winter damage. Green fees are a little pricey with GolfNow hotdeals rarely dipping below $30.
Great course
I play here every day! For a public course it is challenging and fun. Tough from the back tees. Pace can get slow at times. Rangers do nothing but look for lost balls. You can always get in golf after work.
nice course if you can find a deal
We played on a Sunday afternoon after a very rainy morning. We prepared to slosh around in the mud. Not so. The course held up well. The greens were a little more receptive but the pace was good (too good for the first few holes before I figured out the speed). There was almost nobody on the course so the pace of play might be a little misleading. I could see no signs of the harsh winter anywhere on the course. If you can find a deal (regular rates are a bit much for me), this is a really nice course to play.
A good round
The course was in great shape! The greens were quick. Great times
This facility has a lot to offer for all levels
Great conditions from tee to green. Pace of play on a Saturday was outstanding. We never waited for the group in front of us and we never had any other groups catch us. Can't wait to go back.
