Play some where else
Not a good golf course! Greens are terrible. No grass in fairways. No sand in sand traps. Started a play day or scramble....shotgun start in the middle of our round. Do yourself a favor and go else where.
Good value for money
Surprisingly long course in fair condition. Sloiwish greens but a very playable course and great value for the money.
No shorts today!
Other than being cold, it was a really fun round. The course is in pretty good shape. Much improved over what it was during the summer.
Great weather
Course was a bit wet for the first five holes then got a little drier, overall good shape and great value booking through Golf Now website
Fast front ,slow back nine
Rained the dY before . Got cold in the morng . The a busy start at noon , so it backed up .
Worth the drive
Yes, this course is remotely located from just about anywhere. However, it's priced low enough to make it worthwhile to make the drive. I am sure a lot of people complain about the condition of the fairways (mostly weeds and clover) but honestly, it plays ok. The greens are in good shape and tend to be a little on the fast side. Our foursome got rained out on the 16th hole, but we'll be back.
Indian Estates Golf Course
While this course is not in the best shape right now, it is still decent to play on. The fairways were in good shape, but the putting greens were a bit rough. It is an average course as far as challenging- There is a fair amount of water and sand traps, but the sand traps are fairly easy to get out of.
The staff was very friendly and there is a nice bar where you can get drinks and grab a bite to eat.
This a an OK golf course for an average golfer and the rates are quite reasonable. We will golf here again.
Indian lakes
We played today through a golf now hot deal. Good value for the, only. Greens were being overseeded so we played a 2putt rule. Had a good time and we will be back to play again
You get what you pay for
When you pay 21.00 to play, you are getting, at best, a 21.00 golf course. It is horrible! The tee boxes are rarely mowed, covered in weeds and clover, many are covered with fire ants. The bunkers are trash, weeds all over the place, hardly ever maintained the times I have played. The fairways are decent for the most part but do have some weed infestation, the rough is like playing in a Bahia and clover pasture, and need mowing and maintenance, the greens less than desirable. They roll about a 3 or 4 on a stimp if they were actually stimped. They change hole locations it seems about 1 time every week or two. The holes are so dry it pulls the cup liners out when you remove the flagstick. This course has so much potential to be a 40.00 golf course if the would maintain it up to the minimum of industry standards. They should just sod the most of the bunkers on the course if they are not go to maintain them. I do not know where they got he photos for the course on this web site, but over the last two months I have played several rounds there, and I have never seen the course in that condition. The practice putting green is garbage, the so called par three course-the tees and greens are garbage, not maintained at all. It is a real shame the condition they have let this course get in. It has so much potential to be a good track if they put forth the effort and get people who know what they are doing in golf operations. I live inside the community and I had rather drive 15 miles to lake wales cc or for the same money drive 25 minutes to River Greens Golf Club. Sad when residents do not support your course because you do not put forth the effort to maintain it. At least mow the dang tees and greens. No reason the greens can't roll a 9 or 10.
Not worth the drive
Very poor pace of play, had group of locals with their own carts jumping from hole to hole because of the slow play, they continually cut in front of others. The tee's are rough and long weedy areas around tees and greens. With a little course management it could be a lot better. This course is a long drive to get to and for the conditions not worth it even if I only paid $20 on a hot deal.
Old Florida Atmosphere
The course is in pretty decent condition. The back 9 seemed to need more attention than the front 9.
It could be improved but then management would no doubt have to raise the rates. I think they have found a good balance.
Has come a long way
We had not played this course for about 6 years. At that time we felt that this was not a course I would play. Now in the last 2 weeks we have played it twice. Congratulations to the owners. Well done. You have developed this course to a course we will continue to play in the winter. The fairways are green and greet to hit of of. The greens are also plush. Slow only because it is not rolled. Challenging even though. Recommend for anyone to play
Much improved from last visit
Played Christmas of 2017. Swore I would never go back. Outward clubhouse appearance was much nicer. Still nothing inside Pro shop.Staff was nice and friendly. Course has improved immensely Greens bushy, but were filled in for a grade of B-
Fairways not bad considering this is winter and much improved over 15 months ago. Grade of a C. Tee boxes were the major complaint, as there were none.. What had the tee box markers were nothing more than weeds and bare dirt. Give that a F. Have seen much improvement and hope that continues as the layout could make for an enjoyable round of golf.
Give it a fair chance
Hey, come on guys. This course doesn't compare with the likes of the Disney courses or some of the other high dollar course. But it provides an affordable place to play, especially during the peak season in central Florida. The tee boxes leave a lot to be desired. The fairways need to be mowed. The greens are not perfect, but they are better that a lot of the courses in this area. Stop and think how much less you're paying than what you would be paying at other courses in this area. I personally think that it should be rated higher.
Country Course
Course is nice, open, well kept. Was a 45 minute drive for us, further than we thought it was. This is not a high quality course, but adequate for regular play
Good golf
We really enjoyed playing here and we are looking forward to going several more times while we are here. It is one of our favourite courses. Great day.
