Mud Run Golf Course

We arrived yesterday and were told in the clubhouse that a rather large group of about 15 who were all walkers we're going to be ahead of us. We asked if we could skip ahead a few holes and were told we could but all holes were filled. When we went back into the clubhouse I asked who allowed that big group to go out on our exact tee time and I was told that Dirk the general manager said to send them ahead of us. We did receive a refund but We drove 12 Mike's to get there so very disappointed!

It doesn't matter if I like this course or not, my wife loves it. Actually it's a really fun course to play. Right in the middle of the city but you'd never know it when you're on the course. Very nice shape with some completely different holes than you would see on other courses. This was the most friendly staff I've encountered. Really nice practice areas. I will definitely be back.

Nice 9 hole layout, but not really walkable due to massive distances between greens and the next tee. Regulars treat it like their own private CC, which can lead to long rounds, due to people ball hawking or appearing out of nowhere to jump in front of you.

Very well-kept track. A mini-oasis of green within Akron City limits. Short course, but a nice challenge for any player from the tips. Best course ever for a quick 9 or 18 (1.5 hr, 3 hr). It WILL test your game. And, it is the home of Akron First Tee!

Love this place. Very scenic with deer and lots of wildlife. Four sets of tees with perfect one for my 12 yr old. We will be back often

Mudrun is a nice but somewhat tight muni course. The greens are always in great shape and the driving range and practice greens are some of the best around. The snack bar and pro shop are average. It does have forward tees for youth golfers. You won't need much out of your driver here but accuracy is a must on many holes.

I always heard about this place and went out for a quick nine. It was busy and an outing at Good prices caused higher than normal traffic from what I heard the staff saying. However it played very well and wasnt too slow for the volume of golfers.

I recommend playing the nine twice (which was recommended by the guy behind the desk). I played white first and then the Blues the second round.

Nice course layout, well maintained. The pace of play was a bit slow.

Awesome 9 hole course, great course conditions from tee to green! Great practice facilities too! Whenever I only have time for 9, this is where I'll be!

The course exceeded my expectations especially with the drought style weather we have been having. The fairways are relatively dead straight except for hole 2 which most likely requires a wood off the tee unless you can bend a drive. It is a very casual course that i plan to visit more often.

The front tee's are straight forward without much in the way of hazards. The back tee boxes create blind and shaped shots. With generous fairways and small well manicured greens, this is a nice casual round to be enjoyed . The facilities are clean. The staff is courtious prompt and informed. A strong first Tee program is being run here too. I will add Mud Run to my agenda for my next trip to the Akron area.

Enjoyed playing this course as a single. The course was in great shape, greens were consistent, fairways plush. I will be back.

Excellent conditions and a layout reminiscent of some high end country clubs. An exceptional value!!! Great place to practice or take in nine holes.

The course is in nice shape for early spring in Ohio. The course is tight and short but is a fun place for a tune up.
A good day is when you end up the same ball you started with.

I was pleasantly surprised at the good condition of this course. Most of the holes are relatively short and it is fairly easy to get a decent score. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Mud Run is only a 9 hole facility, but it is maintained very well and has one of the best practice ranges in the Akron area. Greens are fast and true and the fairways are impeccable. If you have a slice, it can be a difficult test since the course basically wraps around a swampy area that is in the middle of the course.
For the money, it's a very nice round of golf. On a couple holes, you would think you're in the Carolina's. Very private and you rarely see other golfers because of the way it is laid out. Enjoy.

Was not sure what I would find at this course. My wife is getting into golf and only wants to play smaller 9 hole courses, so this is perfect mix. It allows me to hit driver on many holes, but it is also easy enough for beginners with only 1 par 5 hole and mostly par 3 and 4's. Course is in excellent shape and has water, sand, and interesting holes. Holes are spread out and scenery it wonderful. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in better condition than many of the "better" 18 hole courses I usually play.

Nice course. Pretty well maintained for a municipal course. Would definitely come here again for a quick 9
