Reviews
Beautiful course
The course itself is beautiful. The fairways were extremely over watered. Walking on them you could feel yourself sinking every step. The course maintenance crew was extremely rude. Wouldn’t stop to allow us to hit just kept driving back and forth in the fairway where we were hitting. The members behind us were also rude. We were a foursome averaging ten to twelve minutes per hole and was being pushed the entire time.
Unbelievable course; staff was less than friendly
Driving range, putting green, tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens were in immaculate shape. I’ve played private & public courses up and down the east coast, and this is one of the nicest courses I have ever played. However, the staff from the gentleman in the pro shop to the staff that follows you hole to hole pushing your pace of play was less than friendly. In a foursome, playing scramble rules to keep up the pace, and no signs of anyone behind us, but we had a pro following us hole to hole pushing us along for no reason. Limited menu on the turn for food was strange as well.
I would recommend this course on the sheer quality of the course but I would absolutely let people know what to expect with the staff.
Best public course in the Greater Cincinnati area
The course is in great shape. The best in the area in my opinion. the 30 minute drive is rewarded by a fabulous experience.
Late review
This is much overdue, I traveled from California for a wedding and had to check out some mid-west golf, Needless to say, this was a course of class, and pure beauty, Lush green everything, which I later learned, the whole state has haha. Perfect green speed, not a blade of grass out of place, and holes that reminded me almost of Augusta. For the price, id play this beauty every day of the playable year. While all courses in the area were great, starting my trip with this one, was the right move, Loved everything about it, including the random 3 i was paired with.
Cali
As someone visiting from California, this course blows so many of our public courses away. Private conditions, and the price is phenomenal. Just shot my best round ever at 3 over par. Would love to return with everyone I know.
Stunning
What you hear about this course is true. One of the top courses in the Cincinnati area. Beautiful layout with challenging pin locations. Best greens I’ve ever rolled on. You can tell they really care about the course. We played on a federal holiday and I counted at least a handful of ground crew members working their craft keeping the course lush. Worth every nickel. Professional staff and the post round lunch was great with amazing views.
Well worth the price
This is a fantastic course! Hidden just outside Cincinnati, this is one best public courses in the area without a doubt! Will definitely be back again in the future
Just Wow.
We played this course for the first time. What an experience. While I haven’t played the $400 courses, this course is the best I have ever played. I played many in Myrtle Beach and locally. It has lots of water, half of the sand traps are very deep, and the course is very well laid out. It is very challenging. We are 80-90 score golfers and all found it beautiful and very challenging. Well worth the price.
My Favorite Golf Course in Cincinnati
Stonelick Hills is the best municipal course in Cincinnati and the entire TriHealth-State region. The course is in great condition. Only negative is no restrooms on the course.
Best Public Golf Course in Ohio
Stonelick Hills is definitely in the top 5 of the best public courses in the state of Ohio. Great layout and very friendly staff. Challenging but fun.
Stonelick is in prime condition!
Tee boxes, fairways, greens - even the rough - a are in great shape!
Beautiful, challenging course NE of Cincinnati.
My wife & I are playing golf in all 50 states, ( and possibly all trust territories). Review some of Stonelick Hills were spit on. Well designed by Mr. Osterfeld , and we’ll maintained. We live in NC, and didn’t anticipate this much terrain in Ohio. Amenities and grill were superior. Pace of play on a cold Saturday was fine. Ralph the starter was very pleasant. All in all, a great representation of fine public golf in Ohio.
Premier course!
Excellent conditions and staff. Such a beautiful course despite the rain.. Layout is fair with some nice elevation changes. Bonus was seeing Duff and Divot.. (two Buffalo in a preservation area).. Will definitely play here again next time I’m in the area. Worth the money but a bit pricey compared to other nearby courses. Highly recommended..
Beautiful
We played a weekend, a bit pricey for the area. The course was in superb shape, rolling true and fast. Had a great time, definitely going back; probably on a weekday.
Great course
Love the layout and challenge of this course.
The greens were not as smooth and true the last time I played. But a great course overall.
