Crosswinds golf day
While there's plenty of aircraft and freeway traffic noise, it's a course we often play while in the Hilton Hd area. pretty wide open with generous fairways, course conditions were excellent.
The tee boxes were really bad! This is the first time I have seen them like this , but overall it’s the best public course in Ssvannah
Good play anytime
Another good round at Crosswinds. They were cutting the rough down which is usually very tough to play from.
Greens rolled well and traps were okay but need a little more sand or raking. Some tee boxes, especially on par threes, are close to being lost. These are not in the shade so I wonder what's going on there.
Otherwise another good round on a very nice course.
Old Style Course
Smooth rolling greens with undulations and different levels. A good putting challenge. Fairways were nice. Rough was deep and fairly tough. Some short holes but with lots of risk/reward.
Overall, a nice course to play.
Nice design of course
Course in nice shape, gold tee boxes in need of grass, otherwise course in great shape, and fun to play. Nice driving range and practice area
Conditions at Crosswinds
Best public course in the Savannah area! Course was player friendly and well maintained . Green were in good shape and my overall opion is a course that anyone can play and have a great experience
Par 3 Course
Sand traps needed raking. Several tees had very little grass. Greens/fairways in pretty good shape.
Played Crosswinds many times and with recent rains the course was hurt in several ways. The traps were washed out a bit after they had made recent improvements. Several tee boxes are losing grass which surprises me.
The pace of play was terrible because of several slow threesomes in front of us. The starter did a good job in spreading us out as I was a single but it was still slow.
Never had a bad round there because of the course.
They over book
They over booked the course. Normally it takes us 3 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. Today, 4 hours 45minutes. Wait, wait and wait some more.
decent, good greens, fairways average, bunkers very bad and unplayable, worst shape this course has been in a long time.
Fun watching planes take iff
Great course. Layout is good. Greens are perfect. From the gold tees very difficult and challenging. Fun to watch planes take off right over you. Even more so when they belong to military.
Everything was an A but the greens. They had been sanded and were slow. It is an excellent course.
Friendly course in very good condition. A must play in the Savannah area. The greens had been recently aerated. They were still shaggy with a fair amount of sand and really slow as to be expected. Reduced green fees made this an excellent value. Normally the green fees are a little high this time of year $45-50. There is normally no cart girl with cold beverages and snacks and the turn doesn’t go back to the clubhouse so be prepared.
Amazing layout! Excellent tee to green!
Aerated the greens a couple days ago. Was not too bad. They will be back running quick in a couple weeks. Love His track!
Crosswinds Golf Course
Best kept course in Savannah Ga. Player friendly yet challenging. Golf Now gives the best rates for this course. Recommend playing this course, plus is right next to the airport
We enjoyed this course. It was busy but the pace of play was very good. The course was in very good shape overall. We will play again when we are in Savannah.
