Course Turn-Around Apparent
It is clear things seem to be turning around at Deer Run. Cart path repairs, turf maintenance, bunker repairs are all issues that have been addressed this season. We were hesitant to play Deer Run this year but we've been pleasantly surprised. The staff has been welcoming and inviting. This is likely to become our home course and we will probably purchase a membership next season if this course continues and maintains the obvious improvements that have been made.
This course has great layout
This course has a great layout. The layout of the course is great and kind of challenging.
DRCC is back
Deer Run is a great Golf course at an exceptional value.
The management is very personal and they appreciate you playing there. The cart paths are in good repair with signs of new concrete in several areas. The sand traps are excellent-I know.
The course is well manicured.
I will play there many more times this year thanks to the new ownership.
Getting better every week
The greens where in bad shape last year and now its alot betttttttter , it has some tuf par 4's like #6 and 7.
Man up and go play
Course needs attention
Tried out booking tee time on GolfNow.com for decent price. Course is clearly hurting financially as greens were poor, rough was terrible (dry, hard with lots of bare spots). Can't imagine how poor this ciurse will be when the weather dries out. Probably not worth more than $30 w/cart. Gas cart was also very poor.
Great course
Deer Run golf course is one of the wonderful golf courses in Cincinnati. The course is maintained well, but some green is little slow. Very nice course for all players.
All staff members are very kind and friendly.
good challenge
greens and fairways very good overall. some greens very bumpy. cart paths need repair. great pace on weekday mid-day.
Poor green conditions
The course was generally in good condition, and well maintained except for a few bald spots on some greens. Otherwise a pretty fun course to play.
Shortish but challenging
Deer Run is a nice golf course. Not too long but still challenging with corners and trees. Played on May 13,2013 and it was a bit choppy. Couldn't find a good lie and greens weren't smooth. Won't hold it against them, still nice but could use some work.
Best shape in years!
Greens were in good shape except divots need to be fixed by golfers. Fairways were in good shape.
Great course layout
The greens had some problems with the poe-anna. This usually goes away when it gets 80 later in the year.
An excellent course and challenging!!! I would recommend this course to anyone living or visiting Cincinnati!!!
I love this course!!!! Excellent, a must play for anyone living or visiting Cincinnati, Ohio!!! Thanks GolfNow, for all the Great deals you offer!!!!
Serene surroundings
The course has a nice variation of terrain but the greens still had some bumpy texture. It could be attributed to being early in the season.
Better than expected
Much better than my expectations. Compared to playing there 2 years ago it was much better. The course was in good condition and a great value.
Best Greens in Cincinnati....?
You pay for what you get on this course. It was laid out nicely and had some interesting holes, but their tagline of "Best Greens in Cincinnati" was way off the mark. In fact the greens were some of the worst I have ever played.
Course in good shape and excellent value
The course is in good shape. Two greens on the back nine appeared to be recovering from some previous damage, but overall the course seemed to be maintained. A couple bunkers were washed out, but it's still early in the year. The greens fee were an excellent value for a fun and moderately challenging course to play.
Very forgiving on most holes
Probably a well kept secret on the west side. Great views, great holes with plenty of variety. Cart peths need a bit of work, but all in all, a great bargain.
Needs Improvement
Lots of hills. Greens were in rough shape and very slow play.
Fun, challenging course
I started off as a single but then quickly caught up to a 3some ahead of me who could not have been any nicer. Course was in nice shape for this time of year and you can't beat the price. This is definitely on my list of courses to come back to later on in the year.
