Cecil Field Golf Club
About
Fiddler's Green at Cecil Field Golf Club is located at the Cecil Commerce Center, formerly the Cecil Field Naval Air Station. The golf course was built in 1975 and has been managed by Capstone Golf since 2005.
Fiddler's Green is a regulation 18-hole course in a beautiful tree-lined setting with no development on its borders. The course offers a stern challenge, measuring 6,643 yards from the championship tees. The course rating is 71, and it has a slope rating of 125.
Towering pines shape the course as it weaves its way around the serene natural setting. Fiddler's Green's generous fairways leave challenging approach shots to some of the smallest putting greens in the area.

the course is great to have a round in about two hours or so
Absolutely aweful
Course was more of a pasture than a golf course. Fairways were uncut and grass was very high and deep. Greens were more dirt than green.
AVOID
Parking lots have a better fairway. They will also close if their aren't a lot of players even if others have tee times. Tee boxes are sand boxes, fairways almost always have 4+ inch tall grass, and the greens are all weeds. Don't be fooled by the price, this place should pay people to play here.
Atrocious golf experience
Cart died on me on my second hole. Fairways had about four inches of grass with weeds everywhere. Greens were like putting on a gravel road. Fire ant mounds all over the fairways so now my ankles are covered in fire ant blisters. Complete waste of time and money. Never again.
Get what you pay for
Not a course to write home about
I played it just for practice and shot choices
If you want to rework your swing then give it a go
It not the course to improve your putting
Waste of time
Don't mow the fairways,if that is what you want to call them, cut or roll the greens. Most tee boxes are a joke. No amenities, courtesy, or interest in golf. Disc golf seems to be their priority. I have played this course for over 30 years. Never again. BTW, I was told they are no longer associated with golf now.
The Worst Greens Ever
The price was good, and didn't even mind the long grass on the fairways, but the greens were the worst I have ever played on. Loaded with weeds making putting impossible to 2 putt. We just picked up our balls if we didn't make the put in 2 putts. At least our scores were lower. LOL!
This course sucks
Fairways are terrible. Greens are terrible. Staff is terrible. Worst course I've ever played. Was a fun track until the current proprietors ruined it
They don't even mow what they call Fairways! What a dump.
You get what you pay for…
Easy to slam this place as unfit for play BUT you have to remember it is $10-15 with cart for 18 holes.
Think of it this way….the conditions of this course force you to play better. The fairways are high grass; the “rough” is either a jungle, pond, or ditch; and the greens are like putting across a vehicle test track testing the suspension of a new car.
All that said…its quite, the staff is pleasant, and based on conditions it is almost always open for play.
This is NOT a golf course
Booked a tee time online and showed up to be told that this was a disc golf course. Asked for a refund and the attendant said you are SOL since it was through a third party. Do not waste your time or money booking here.
Fairways and Greens were horrible
Played this course a lot in the late 90's and early 2000's and it was a really decent course for someone learning the game. After the base shutdown and the city took over it has gone downhill in a hurry. It is now geared toward the disc golf game and the fairways and greens are in horrible shape. You can clearly see that they are making the disc golf more important. Absolutely not worth the 32 dollars we paid for it. Probably will not play there again. It's sad because I really enjoyed playing there back then.
Not Happy
I played this course 12 years ago and it was bad. I hoped that it was better now but it was worse.! The carts were filthy with the seats torn open with the foam sticking out, They were very old and worn out. I barley was able to finish the round as it ws dying. The course was like a cow pasture with hay growing a foot high and fairways deep with rough. The greens were litered with worm digging of dirt. It was bad , bad bad! Do not reccomend this course for members to play.
over run by frisbee golfers
had to skip 2nd hole due to a 12 some (at least) of frisbee players yukking it up and making no effort to move on
