Jacksonville Beach Golf Club
About
The newly revamped Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, built in 1959, is one of the only public access courses on Jacksonville's Beaches. The golf course was originally designed by Sam Snead.
The changes at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club began with the rebuilding and modernizing of more than half the greens on the golf course, along with some new bunkers and bulkheads to add to the already beautiful look.
The 18-hole golf course measures 6,510 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.9, with a slope rating of 126.

Awesome course
I’ve played this course a few times since the remodel and it’s always been in great shape. It recovered well from the recent aerification. Greens rolled smooth they are still firm but that’s due to the greens being new. Overall this is a great course that was in great shape. As a local I’m glad they renovated this course.
Amazing municipal golf course
This course is in tremendous shape and an excellent value for the money. Pick Greens for like putting on artificial turf they were so pure. Overall excellent golfing experience. I look forward to playing this on all my return visit to Jacksonville.
Outstanding condition
Course is just in outstanding condition. They have grown grass around the greens which makes them much more playable. Pace of play was great after 3pm
In good shape
I always enjoy playing this course. Greens were firm and rolled true. Overall course was in good shape.
Excellent conditions
I strongly recommend any local golfers in the Jacksonville area to give Jax Beach golf club a try.. The greens roll really well, lots of grass around the greens along with the fairways tee boxes. You will not be disappointed in a really good round for good value of the money. If you played Jax Beach prior to the renovation, you will be pleasantly surprised.
July 4th quick round
We breezed around on the afternoon of 7/4--which was hard to believe. Everything else was fine, too.
Great Value, Terrible Booking Process
Course was in great shape. Luckily they were able to squeeze us in between groups because, despite my confirming through GolfNow booking, the club did not have me in their booking system. There was another couple that had the same Golf Now issue. I won’t be using GolfNow anytime soon - especially when booking this course - since it could happen again and it DEFINITELY will at this course. Call this club directly if you want to make sure you’re on their tee sheet!
Father’s Day Golf
The course is in good shape!
The GPS system on my cart never worked!
I didn’t notice until heading down the 1st fairway.
I didn’t go back as I did not want to cause a big delay.
I suggest having the starter ask each group as they arrive on the 1st tee box if their GPS system is functioning properly.
Also I never saw a “beer cart” selling on course beverages.
Lush course with great layout and challenging greens
Love this course. Fairways are lush and green. Greens recently punched but they are not bumpy and roll true, though a bit slow. Greens are hard. You will rarely see a ball mark. Challenging to land on the green and stay on the green unless you approach from the right spot.
aerating
The greens were being aerated but we knew that going in. Will return for sure!
Improved course
I played this course for the first time in several years. Much improved and the greens were in great condition.
New Course
I live in Jax beach and have played this course in the past. It was probably my 3rd or 4th choice behind Oak Bridge and Windsor, but after the renovations this will be my primary choice. Greens were impeccable, everything was well maintained and organized. They did a great job fixing up this local course,
Very nice round and value - IF you can snag a HotDeal
Tees, fairways, greens all in great shape. Unfortunately the price hikes here have us only playing when hot deals are out there. Only course we've played that charges extra for carts On weekends Jax now charges the riding rate even if you're walking !
Mostly good !
Only negative is we were first two off the tee and started on 10 due to maintenance. That was perfectly fine except when we made the turn they’d started sending peeps off the 1st tee slowing us bigtime
Jax Beach Golf Club
Course was redone in 2018 with all new greens and a few redesigned holes. This was the fifth or sixth time I have played it since it reopened last November. The changes have made this a real gem at the beaches. It is s great value for money and is also a great walkers course for those who like to walk. I played nine holes on a Friday afternoon and it took almost 2 and 1/2 hours, which is more than usual but I attribute that to it being a Friday afternoon with beautiful weather. I will definitely continue to play this course on a regular basis. Just be advised that there are no senior rates on Friday thru Sunday, and walking is only allowed after noon on those days.
Jax Beach
First of al there was nobody at the bag drop when we drove up, we had to wait so we unloaded our clubs ourselves. Then we went to check in and the young girl looks at us and said what do you want? (there were three men just standing behind the counter). I said we are checking in and she rattled off amount due $70 something dollars and I said we all ready paid on golf now. She said I see that here you are all set but I got no receipt for the starter. She said you don’t need one. The starter knows you are here.
Next to the golf course, the sand traps were in very good shape and the greens were very fast and hard. If you landed on the green the ball took a big bounce and bounced off the green—Like hitting the cart path. The fairways were in tough shape very little grass if any to hit off of.
This was the third time playing here since it reopened this year and were disappointed in the welcome we received for the money we paid..When we came off the course the cart attendant told us they were to busy to unload clubs from our vehicles..
