Is this what they mean by Drive the Green!? Photo submitted by CraigByKDW on 05/17/2016
I just played golf with entire Kid's Golf Academy
Wow did I get off to a bad start here. First, it was very difficult to check-in. Tooth is on the extreme side of the golf course. There were signs pointing in that direction, but I didn't see a place to check-in. So, I drove around. I went into one of lodge lobbies - no one there. I went toward the PGA store. No one there. I circled back to where I saw the sign to go Left & asked someone there. I was told I had to go to the clubhouse even for the short course. The clubhouse was quite the walk from my parking spot.
I circle back to the Tooth course. Go yonder over hills & valleys & finally finally #1 tee. My wife & I tee off. We're finishing the first hole & lo & behold about 20 kids are trailing us to get in their golf lessons. I thought they'd hang on hole # 1 for a bit. Nope, they trailed us the entire course.
When I golf, I go to relax from a stressful day. As you could imagine, it's not very relaxing when 20 6 to 8 year olds are following you with clubs rattling together & various giggling & such. The kids were NOT badly behaved. It's just that they didn't actually play the hole. They hit by the green only.
So, I tee off. My wife tees off. We got to play our next shot. I look over my shoulder & the kids are already trekking towards us. We're just off the green. They' all saddle up about 30 yards out waiting for us to finish with parents & coaches trying to hold them back.
The course seemed nice. But it was an aggravating experience. If you play this course, ensure that you will not be having the Kids Golf Academy at your heels. No bueno and Not fun. And a waste of money.
Good. price …..usually walk, but nice to have pull carts
Nice short course!
Way too busy - we waited two or three groups on the first several holes. But otherwise course was in good shape and always enjoy the walk!!
Great course. Needs better signage
I enjoyed the Tooth course itself. Good mix of holes in good condition. No carts allowed but it’s a short nine and ok to walk. The signage on the course could be better. There are some spots where a big arrow pointing the way would help. For example I walked straight to #2 tee without seeing where #1 tee was. But I’ll come back.
Nice little track for a walk
Good conditions, short course and friendly and welcoming staff. Can’t beat the practice facilities available at this complex. Arrive early as it is a bit of a hike from pro shop to first tee.
Outstanding Walking 9
The Tooth is the best 9 hole course that I’ve played in the area. It’s a hike from the clubhouse to the first tee and a very hilly and challenging course.
Unfortunately Golf carts are not allowed until the end of May except for the school classes
Good course to practice irons and putting
Course in very nice OCN condition. It's a short executive course with only 2 par 4's. Fun to play.
The Tooth
Excellent in all respects except (because of the venue size it was difficult to find The Tooth. Also no electric carts were available.
Course in good condition!
Great place to find tune your game, especially long Irons!
Great course
The course was clean, fairways were nice great value if you just want to do a quick 9. Staff was super friendly.
Amazing Club
The facility is amazing and the grounds and green’s are in top condition. It is spread out if you are walking, but there views are great, and the layout is great as well. Staff is grade A and are all over the property if you need anything!
Best overall in Central Florida!
Fun beginner course
This course is great for beginners. There are no woods to get lost in, just a tree here and there. There are 3 of the 9 holes where water is in play, arranged from least to most challenging. The course is in very good condition right now, although some of the greens are a little weedy from the stuff that grows in the deep rough.
As for pace, it’s usually very laid back and you don’t get rushed. There’s almost always time to try your shot again if you squibbed the first one. And if you aren’t challenged enough by The Tooth, there are two full-size courses to try.
Great course and value
The Tooth is a great short course - lots of elevation which is not typical for Florida. All aspects are in great shape and the facilities are fantastic. Well worth the money compared to other walking 9’s played.
Fun open short course, greens is good shape most fairways looked great. Quick pace, walked solo in less than 1 hour
