Palisades Country Club

We had played this course a few years ago when it was in great shape -- a very challenging and fun course. However our most recent visit with a friend was a real disappointment. Where do I start? The tee boxes had deep grass, the fairways were overgrown and you couldn't distinguish fairway from rough -- watch out for the fire ants!! The greens were in varying degrees of decline from bald spots in some areas to one on the back nine that had been overtaken by weeds. Needless to say we will not be returning as it looks like it would take an extreme amount of work to reverse the decline of this once beautiful course.

What is the point of playing here? They have ran this place into the ground so bad, it would take way more than they are willing to putin to it to fix this pasture. I love how management says its hard to keep up in the summer. Really? Thats your answer? If didnt notice this is florida and there is a course on about every corner. They have the same problems except they dont shut down and neglect the course to where ita almost not recognizable as a golf course
I feel sorry for the people who bought a house there and cant enjoy a membership at their home course. So dont bother guys its a complete waste of time and you will just be upset on the end. Too many courses to give these guys any money.

Now we played here in March and this place was amazing everything this was pristine shape.....we just played here on Sat the 18....and we brought someone down from Ct. To play and have some fun......we were shocked how bad the fairways were....some of them were so over grown you couldn't tell what was the rough from the fairway.....we actually pulled up a little like rain tree about 1 foot high out of the middle of the fairway at the 150 marker on a hole on the back nine.....and the only staff on hand that we seen was the lady that checked us in ....we wanted to get a bite to eat but the restaurant was closed.....and this was at 12 noon .....we drove a good 45 min to get there thinking we would have the same quality as last time we played we were wrong......just dint know how they did a complete turn around so bad so fast.....unfortunately we won't be coming back ....it's sad because it is as great layout....

I've played this course several times. First time was great. Then I heard they closed for the winter? In Florida, closed in the winter? They reopened and I heard from of my co-workers that it was not maintained well....since they just reopened. So I play back in March of this year. Found it to be a great course. Then I played this weekend. On a Saturday, at 9:00.....NO ONE ELSE WAS HERE! Hmmmmm?? No bag boy, no starter? The grass on the fairways was spotty, weedy and in some places, needs to be mowed! On 15 the mower went up the sides to identify the Fairway. What a shame, nice layout of a course.

What used to be a very nice course is like playing in a cow pasture!

Having played the Course many years ago, it has gone downhill a little but the owners are making strides to bring it back to its former glory. The few temporary greens were not so good, or the 17th green but the fairways were holding up. Well in the 100 degree weather currently. The staff were very upbeat and we had the course to ourselves, mainly due to intense heat. The layout is very good and some great challenges for all abilities. I have played worse courses in Florida and paid more so some of the derogatory remarks I felt were unnecessary, if you want perfection, pay to go to Grand Cypress and see how that hurts your wallet. I hope this course does come back to its former glory and I would be happy to play it again to help keep it viable.

Like the layout needs a lot of work I understand they are working on it would come back when it's in better shape

2 greens were still temped, but others in good shape. Owners are making an effort to rehabilitate course and it shows. Excellent price would play again.

Disaster! That really sums it up. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere. Poorly maintained. Closed last summer and did not reopen until early winter 2014. Course is for sale. Cheap price will bring players only once. Obviously maintenance is ignored. Much worse than when I played in March 2015. Two greens are dead with temporary greens and others on the way to death. Fairway and ruff is poorly cut. Small bushes are beginning to grow in some. Once was beautiful and is no longer. Some water stations were empty. Those that have water tastes like it came from a garden hose. There is no bar, restaurant, or beverage cart. Worse course ever in Florida!

This has alway beed a "okay" course with the challenging elevation changes and blind tee shots but putting use to be satisfactory. It is just terrible as of now, unmarked tem greens and massive sandy areas on just about all the others.. Seems as though maybe new owners with what seems to be a lot of work on there hands

What a shame that this course has come to this. Other reviews can tell its own sorry. I won't be returning.

great course, i play almost every week, employees are very nice, good location

I play every Sunday with the same guys and we play all over Orlando and surrounding areas. Every week one of us picks a course and books a Tee Time - glad I didn't make this choice. Greens were almost non existent - rough was beyond rough. It's too bad because I really like the layout and can see alot of potential - but for now I wouldn't recommend it and I probably won't play there again unless I'm sure they make improvements.

My recommendation for Palisades Country Club is to Close until they have their greens ready for play. 2 greens are closed (#3 & #16). Your ball bounces all over the place bc of the little weeds that are on the green that have not been killed. They are working on the greens. The whole purpose of playing golf is to reach the green and make a putt to shoot either par or break par. The tee boxes, fairways were ok, some bad lies. They need to mow the rough, it reminds you of a neighbors yard that is not taken care of. Very high grass with many flowering weeds. This course used to be in great shape (2003-2005) and then in went down hill. I do hope they can rebuild. This course is very challenging with its uphill and down hill shots, dog legs both right and left. Great Layout. I can only hope for the best. I would like to see this course make a turn around.

The course is a great layout with good variety of lies and fairway turns. The greens need serious work, with 5 or 6 needing new turf.

If the greens were decent, I would play it regularly

We had a threesome that teed off at 1 pm. I had read a bad review before coming and should have listened. In the past this course has been good but it is in terrible shape. Hard to find a good lie in the middle of the fairway and the greens were combination of barren, muddy, not maintained. Who ever moved the pin placement did not know how and they were ragged. No kidding, we were the only ones on the course and they pulled the flags as we completed each hole. We felt like we were cheated of our time as well as our money.

The course was not in good shape. The fairways were rough, and some of them haven't been mowed in awhile. Some of the greens were bare in many spots, and it was like putting on cement. The carts were in good shape, and we got right out early since there weren't any people on the course! Wouldn't go back.

Was looking a little shabby, but is coming along, still needs some work but could look good by summer.

Course started alright but got much worse in the back 9. When we reached the 10th hole a maintenance man was working, He saw us tee off and then drove over and turned on the sprinklers where all our balls were. Then as we approached told us to hold and left the sprinklers on for a few minutes while we just sat and waited. Will not be back

The fairways were like hiting off of a Chinese checker board. Most greens were in very poor condition. They were like putting on a Chinese checker board. A few greens had sand traps in them. I would definitely not play there again.
