Definitely not worth the money
This course is not worth the time to play. The course obviously didn’t let golfnow know that they aerated the greens and when I showed up with my friend and brother they said that the back nine was closed because they were aerating the greens. That kind of put me off to a bad start because I wasn’t expecting this at all. We had to play the front nine twice which stinks to play. The greens were horrible to putt on due to the aeration they did the day before and secondly they put a lot of sand on the greens which didn’t help the putting at all. Honestly, if they had stated that they were aerating the greens I would of paid a little extra to play somewhere else. The course was kind of burnt out, but the ball rolled well in the fairway. That’s the only plus I would of given this course. Other than that I would not waste my money and play there. Look at another course that would be better.
FAIR DAY KINGS RIDGE CHAMP COURSE
COURSE NOT BAD GREENS SLOW SEVERAL GREENS WERE BEING LOST OF GRASS
Not even close. More like one star. Very nice layout but needs lots of tender loving care. Tees and greens need the most. And the gentleman in the pro shop needs to learn how to treat customers. Play again ( I Didn't Think So )
Not much water. Otherwise a nice variety of challenges
Course in recovery mode. Bunkers need work. Greens recovering but still need time and areas off the greens need work. Track is fun and worth the play if you are in the Clermont area. Staff is great.
Nice tract but suffering from maintaince neglect.
I have played this course off and on for 15 years now because it is a fun little course with several interesting holes. It appears to be suffering the same disease as many central FL. golf courses however, not enough play to provide revenue for proper upkeep. Fairways rough, weedy with plenty of bare spots despite above average rainfall this year. Greens are so slow be sure to take your mallet putter. Tee boxes in bad shape as well. Can find an occasional hot deal on Golf Now but still hard to justify the price. I thought with the golf course across the street closing that they would benefit from the increased play and be able to get the course back in shape. Hasn't happened.
First time playibg
No straws for water
No bathroom code
Indifferent help at check-in
No help with bags
Course was ok to play but needs some TLC
Average course-worth a play
Having read the reviews I may have had my expectations a little too high. It could have started better as the front desk insisted we wait for our Hot Deal tee time, which meant a 35 min. wait. No one was on the tee or even scheduled but we had to wait. Thank you to the 90% of courses that Don't Do This!
As for the course itself it has less elevation changes than Legends, across the street, or Sanctuary Ridge, down the road. Greens were decent but lots of weed growth in the fairways and rough. Tee boxes a little rough, though this doesn't really bother me. Getting caught in a late day storm prevented us from finishing final 2 holes but would probably give this another shot if price is right. I've found most reviews have to be taken with a grain of salt so play it and make up your own mind.
