The rolling countryside occupied by The Ridge Golf & Gardens (formerly known as Buck Ridge Golf Course) provides an ideal landscape for a round of golf. The nearby farmhouses add to the course's rustic appeal. The layout closely follows the natural contours of the land and trees, ponds, and landscaping were tactfully added to blend seamlessly with the natural terrain. There are a total of five ponds, which come into play on eight holes. A number of bunkers are strategically placed around the large greens and there are also rough areas to watch out for. Although the golf course is relatively young, the skillful use of the mature trees makes it seem as though it has been around much longer. The eighth hole, the layout's longest par 3, is one of the toughest. It plays directly over water to the right side of the green. Before playing The Ridge Golf & Gardens, golfers can warm up on the large practice green.

Fast Paced Round
Two of us played 18 holes in less than 3 hours and enjoyed the layout. Buck Ridge has a few demanding par 4s (6,14) and the par 3's/5's are a great mixture of designs/doglegs and distances. The maintanence crews were out working on the course/greens and the hospitality was 5+ by the crew and pro shop. The greens need some work, but overall, it's a fun course to play.
Affordable & Friendly Staff
1. Very affordable - $22 (via golfnow) on Sunday.
2. Friendly staff.
3. Green was in good condition.
4. Golf Course is fun to play.
5. Cart path is not paved and extremely bumpy. Expect to inhale some dust. Driving on cart path could heart your back.
If they paved the cart path, I would love to play during fall season.
Course
Course needs Scoot's lawn service to control weeds and improve greens
Played the course a few years back and it was in good shape. I understand it's early in the season, but the course should be sprayed for weeds and everything should be mowed this time of year. Almost all the rough was not treated and some fairways as well. It was impossible to find balls when in rough with all the dandelions. I normally do not mention anything about bunkers because they are hazards, but it looked as if they weren't touched in 2 years.
Great deal! Friendly staff!
There is no denying it. This is a dog track. The fairways are not always kept in great shape, the tee boxes are a little long and there are some Burt out spots in rough BUT This golf course has a spicatcular track. Great shot value for the amount there charging you. Other dog tracks in the area such as Rolling Meadows and Indeian Springs have similar conditions but, do not give you nearly as interesting of track And really does not give you nearly the shot value. The staff was spictacualr. Extremely nice people and you will never see a new face behind the cash register. Over all great course for the money WOULD RECOMEND
Very Wet !
I have played here a few times this year and for the money I will keep coming back. The course was very wet and hat some ponds in the fairways from all the rain. Hoping the course will dry out soon !
Not very well maintained
Granted, it's very early in the year, but the overall conditions are worse than expected for this time of year. The layout is just as challenging as ever, but the condition of the fairways and traps isn't good. I do hope this place gets better maintenance in the future, since I've always liked the course.
It was February
For that time of the year I thought it played well. It seems to drain well as it wasn't overly soggy/sloppy. It was 90 degree rules but I hope in the spring they do some work on the cart paths but for February you can't ding them for that
Love this course
Pace of play was slow do to first nice day of the year. Great course for all types of players. You won't loose to many balls as a beginner. Love playing here.

Cart paths are gravel and very pitted - hard to ride on.

Needs serious attention
The course has potential as it has a nice layout and some challenging design characteristics but it needs serious basic attention. When we played last fall, weeds were starting to take over the fairways and the bunkers were non-existent. Perhaps management should consider taking out some of the bunkers and putting that maintenance time into the greens and fairways. For the fees, it wasn't terrible but certainly isn't what it could be.
Great Time
I played the course this morning and had a great time. The course is in good shape and had a beautiful day to get out there. Only issue with the course is the ground at the Tee boxes is very hard

Fall Round
I got away for a quick round on a beautiful fall day. I joined up with another senior golfer and had a nice competitive round. I always like the layout of the course but the conditioning seems to be getting worse. There was basically NO sand in the bunkers(notice that I didn't call them Sand traps). It also would be helpful to have yardage indicators in the fairways.

The course is well maintained and we enjoyed playing at this course.

Buck ridge
I think everyone can enjoy this course. Good layout and greens were good. Bunkers were,in decent shape also. I haven't seen many places this summer that had decent bunkers. Buck ridge was good course and great value for the money. Course had a lot of dog legs. Good mix of long par 4s and short par 4s. Solid par 3s and 5s. Look forward to going back. Golf now really has been great with getting me on different golf courses this summer. Look forward to playing many in ohio

Buck Ridge - 8/7/16
Sadly obvious there has not been much rain in the area of late...course is very baked out but for the Hot Deal price it was, a good value. Greens were fast and true which is always a bonus.

Course was run down as it was going through bankruptcy. Changes are already being made. Please give them some time to get it back up and running and then come back. I think you will find amazing improvements!
