Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

Morning Golf

Traveled down from Charleston South Carolina and booked to play through the efficient GolfNow app. Arrived at St. John’s golf and country club and was impressed with the beautiful clubhouse layout and its surroundings. Starter was great and we were off. Tee boxes were neat as were the well cut fairways. The greens were the highlight as they were quick and running true. This course is highly recommended. Shot 77.

Fantastic Value!

SJGCC is a great residential layout about a half hour south of Jacksonville. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were quick, as others have noted (greens were aerated about a month ago and are almost fully recovered). Check in was smooth and the staff was friendly. We were a twosome and they paired us up with another GolfNow single. The only negative we encountered was somewhat slow play (4 1/2 hours), apparently caused by one foursome a couple groups ahead of us. But, overall, a great golf experience and an exceptional value!

AERATED!!

I made my reservation for this course the week before and there was no warning that the cost would be aerated the day before I played. I had already prepaid so there was no canceling of the tee time

Obviously this led to having to play the back nine two times and reason pace-of-play was so good was because there was no one out there playing due to the conditions. Just feel that there should be a better morning of the fact the greens or are rated as well as they Fairways and tee boxes. I went to the website to verify that they said it was being done but it was not there when I made my reservation the week before. So due to that fact I was displeased. If you're going to hear Ray you need to give more warning.

Disappointed

Greens and course wonderful but we only got to play one nine twice as other nine was being aerated and closed. This should have been published for a prepaid fare.

Tough test when wet

This is a challenging golf course but even made more so on a hot very humid day that included several downpours. Given the adversity of the weather the course held up well and was fun.

Great track

Played it right off the plane. We had an issue at the airport that held us up. We called up and they easily accommodated us with no problems. Staff was friendly when we arrived and got us right out. Course isn’t overall challenging, but not not easy either so it was a very fun track. It asks for some demanding shots and some easy ones. Greens were in phenomical shape, as was the rest of the course. We come to Florida every July for a golf trip and we will be back again.
