New Albany Links Golf Club
About
New Albany Links Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling hills covered with meandering creeks, mature trees, and native grasses and wetlands. There are also a number of lakes throughout that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a fair challenge but it prides itself on its playability. With tees ranging between 4,800 and 7,000 yards, the course accommodates a range of different skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers throughout. New Albany Links Golf Club's 12th hole is one of the course's most memorable. It requires a long drive and an approach that carries past a long bunker and a pond to a narrow green. To the left is certain punishment but a tough up and down waits if you miss right.

Very unfriendly staff member
Staff employee was very rude and confrontational. I showed up early for my tee time and tee box was wide open with next tee time in 45 minutes. Staff employee stated he only had enough carts for the next few tee times and that I would have to wait until my booked time. 25 carts were available and ready for play. Once he realized his explanation did not make sense he became very upset with me and made it a point to tell me how he wasn't making any money on me since I booked the tee time on Golfnow. Worst experience I have ever had at golf course.
Closed range. Dirty tee boxes. Great course design, mid bunkers and mid fairways… no one fills divots. Friendly staff and cold beers.
5 hour round on a Monday morning.
Pace of play was inexcusable. Entire course backed up because of a 2some with a 930 tee time. Rangers were clueless as to what to do. 5 hour round on a Monday when the course wasn’t even that busy. Bunkers were unplayable and needing attention. Greens were firm but rolling good. Tees and fairways were in good shape. But not good enough to justify a 5 hour Monday round.
Great early play
Course was in great shape, especially the greens which had been slit and sanded. Noticeably fewer ball marks than normal, which in the past has been the main complaint about NAL.
Greens were great!
This is a great layout, with the only past complaint is that no one seems to fix their ballmarks. We’ve fixed 4-5 ballmarks on almost every green in the past . Today however, the greens were in excellent condition. Course was in the best shape I’ve played.
Great Course Bad Paths
The course is great, some of the tee boxes are a little rough but given the amount of rain we have had that’s not unexpected. Cart Paths definitely need work more than anything else on the course. Considering the price to play I expect them to be nicer than much less expensive city courses.
Course is definitely worth playing.
Very nice shape!
The course was in very good shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens all lush and healthy green for this time of year. The greens were inconsistent, apparently from somewhat recent deep tine aeration and differences in how they were cut (some more recently). Over half of the bunkers were recently manicured, but about a third were not raked at all, and holding water. We played those bunkers as ground under repair and moved on. Overall, a great day at New Albany Links. Will go back for sure, and would highly recommend this course.
Enjoyable Day
Now take this with merit but pace of play was great on a cooler day where it was spitting rain off and on but overall a group of three and we’re done in under 4 hours easily taking our sweet time.
This is a course I enjoy with tighter fairways and smaller greens. If you like those features then this course is for you from the tips!
Rock hard
The course was in terrible shape. Everything was rock hard. Tee boxes were so hard, we were breaking tee’s, just trying to tee our balls!!
Traps were like concrete. Unacceptable. Especially when so many others in the are are in great shape.
Great day great conditions
We had a perfect day weather wise. The only issue (and this isn’t the faulty of New Albany Links) is the ball marks on the greens were ridiculous. The clientele needs to learn some etiquette as we were fixing 3-4 ball marks on most greens. A real shame because the course is great.
Good track
Nice course always meet good people to golf with, kinda new to the area but this is my go.to course
WE apologize for this unfortunate experience in December. We can assure you that we hold our staff to the highest standard of customer service. Hope you'll give us another shot this season.
