You think it's pitch and putt...and then
My wife and I were the first folks out on a sunny weekday morning and after the first two holes I thought it was going to be wedge and putter of the day...then a nice variety of holes makes there way into the mix. With the course being empty we took the time to play a few of the holes twice. Nice conditions, nice views....good warmup to the day
Nice place
We enjoyed the course again. Played 3times last year and we are going back Monday agsin...
Good course for occasional golfers as the holes give enough variety to challenge the average players
Course was fairly wet due to previous bad weather but overall very pleasant to play without being too demanding.
Great course for seeing birds
The course lived up to its name of Cranes Bend as their were many birds all along the holes. That may have been due to all the casual water left over from Irma. Many areas were so soft and the grass so long that you could not get to or find your ball in the fairway. It will be a decent course once all the water dries up but I feel they opened it too early and did not tell me about the water when I booked.
Very wet
We have played here several time and a nice short course for my wife. The course was very wet and in my mind should not have been in play. A lot of the fairway under water and others wet underfoot. No signage or prewarning given of the condition.
Great course. Fairways, greens and overall quality course
Aog
Staff was short handed, but very professional. Great golf experience!
Good tune up
The course was in good shape, the water table was high in the lake but did not affect play. A great place to get a quick 9 holes in. The staff was very friendly. Plenty of wild life added to pleasant round.
Good warm up
It's a good course to practice your game. Not very busy . It's a short 9 hole course with a lot of par 3's.
The course and greens are in good shape and makes it a good value
Nice morning outing
Playing this course for the first time l was pleasantly surprised . The greens are healing nicely after being areated. The fairways are in good shape and the tee are okay considering how dry it's been.
There is a good mix of short par threes and big boy par threes even though they are par fours on the card. Great short game practice. Course is narrow so it's also good practice for staying straight. Staff are nice, carts are in good shape and course is well marked. Regular price is high so make sure you use Golf now
Cranes bend
Course under rehab. Greens are all plugged and filled so forget putting. Fairways are decent. Tee boxes are rough. Prices should be lowered in this condition
Needs Lots of Maintenance
This review is actually for the Reserve Golf Course. I had signed up to play Cranes Bend with my wife who is a beginner. Cranes Bend was closed (no reason provided) so they put us on the Reserve course. To start with, the starter sent a group of 6 beginners to the first tee just before us. It took twenty minutes from the time they hit their tee shots to the time we could hit ours. Because they were all beginners they hadn't learned golf courtesy, they wouldn't let us play through. We had to jump them after 3 holes because we were over an hour into the round! Take-home message here is that there is no on course management. Even for the $20 each I paid on Golf Now for the Cranes Bend course, this course was not a bargain- fairways and greens were burned out and patchy. Not worth the time - play elsewhere.
100 minutes of fun
Plays quick. Nice views and somewhat challenging. Only three driving holes but fun to play.
Great course!
My wife and I played this course and were very pleased. The Orlando area has had drought conditions and many courses are extremely dry. That was not the case here. Great layout and greens, tee boxes were a little rough but not bad. Would play this again. Great course for beginners or short game practice.
