Great medium range golf course nicely maintained!
I love this golf course! Not too far away, about a 35 min. trip
from Anderson Township.
This is a very good medium length golf course with varying degrees of difficulty thrown in with water hazards and a challenging island green.
The course is well maintained with a very nice club house and a friendly staff.
Prior knolwdege needed
Fun course, however there a number of holes that require prior knowledge to play correctly. Tee boxes need attention. Greens were nice. Fairways need some water - har pan conditions when we played.
In a classic, "you get what you pay for," ...
... Taylor Glen isn't going to knock anyone's socks off with its level of difficulty nor greenskeeping, but for the price it is exactly what you are looking for if you keep your expectations in check. Tee-to-green, the grounds are mowed but not watered and there is no sand, but I look at this as a course decision of cost-savings to bring the customer/golfer value elsewhere. The greens are always soft even in the hottest of heat, as well they should be as in my opinion the putting green is the make-or-break part of a golf course.
The course is often wide open and allows for fast play, so if you are the common hacker or a relatively solid player, Taylor Glen lets you get your swings in at the sacrifice of plush turf and consistently good lies. When paying minimal fees for 18 holes, these are luxuries I'm okay with dismissing as I know I'm getting what I pay for ahead of time.
Taylor Glen
Course wasn't in the best shape ever but I'll credit that to the rain we have received lately. For the price, I would play this course weekly.
Great place to go for cheap
This place has horrible carts but it is excellent for how cheap it is to play there. It's kind of pasture but the greens are surprisingly good
Best Value / Hidden Gem
Great family run course. Several water holes, even an island shot. Great course for both women and men.
Great Value
If you are looking for a cheap course that is in good shape Taylor Glen is a great option. The course is very short but it still has a few holes that are hard. The pace of play was great we were done in less than three hours and everyone o f the workers was very friendly.
This course has lots of watter hazzards !
Bring some extra balls if you hit like me! The watter hazzards can be challenging but overall its a fun course !
It's out there, but it's worth it.
Even being on the east side of Cincinnati, this course isn't very close. That is the only criticism I have. The front nine provides a challenging(although short) experience with water present on almost every hole. The back nine is slightly longer but is more surrounded by woods. It rewards precision of ball placement far more than a long drive. Great scenery and a well though out course, this gem has become one of my favorite economy golf courses in the city. You will enjoy the round, even of you sink multiple balls in the water on there par 4 with a full island green. Easily recommended!
A great way to spend a day
Not long, but "The Ultimate Challenge" as it is termed. Water hazards (long carry), Island greens and elevation changes make for interesting club selections!!!
Short but don't be fooled.
I booked on GolfNow for $18 and couldn't have been happier. The course was very short but had plenty of water and tough pins that still made it a challenge for a hacker like me. Perfect for a quick afternoon round as there were only a few groups on the course. I played 18as a single in 2 hours 15 minutes. My only real complaint is the layout of the course was very strange. the six and eighth tees were in the same tee box and the 16th and 17th tees were side by side. you had to do a lot of driving and backtracking between hole. I even managed to skip a hole somehow even though I was following the cart path after every green. But again, a great value for a quick round.
Course in great shape
Got there alittle early and was able to go ahead and get started, fairways were in nice shape and greens were best I 've seen them . As always the staff was awsome and helpful, Had brought a friend that was in from out of town , he loved the course and asked if we could play it again next time he is in. This is why my son and I play here whenever possible . Great job as usual !!
This course did not have responsible staff.
This course did not have responsible staff. There was a loud, rude and slow golf group ahead of us. We called the clubhouse after a couple of holes of extremely slow play and even though the worker said a ranger would be out, we never saw one the whole morning/afternoon. It took us 5+ hours on a hot, humid day to play 18 on a Par 68 course. Will not be returning. Was not worth $$ to play here.
The course has a few areas that need grass seed.
With a little more attention to downed brush and fairway bare spots this could be a beautiful course.
Good value, nice course, moderate length, variety of holes, fun.
The grass on tees, fairways, rough, and greens are good. The course is moderate in length with a good variety of holes, including a par-4 true island green. A nice clubhouse and patio with a efficient, friendly, and helpful staff. A basic food offering of good quality hot dogs, metts, hamburgers, chicken salid, other. Standard refreshment offerings: softdrinks, beer, mixed drinks, other.
A good overall value and enjoyable to play.
