Conveniently located less than 20 minutes from Walt Disney World, Kissimmee Golf Club provides a pleasant escape for tourists looking for an affordable round of golf. Although it is situated near several tourist attractions, the golf course is also a favorite among local golfers. The course dates back to the early 1940's, but 18 holes were officially established in 1962 and since then, the tees and greens have been updated to provide better putting surfaces and more challenges. In addition to the golf course, Kissimmee Golf Club offers practice facilities for golfers to use, including one of the largest grass driving ranges in the country.

Not what I thought It would be
This course didn't meet my expectation.
From my research this course was recently rated pretty well. Not sure who the raters were but not my experience.
The great part was fun watching the planes take off on both runways. Really neat.
Now the issues.
The course Marshall who came around told us mid round were were on 4hr-4:15 hr pace. It was over 5 hrs. We had pretty much 2 groups backed up on all tees. No round momentum allowed.
Other than the greens, pretty much little evidence of any watering.
All tee boxes are heavily crowned. A bulldozer could fix that.
Range balls totally beat up. At a minimum they could be the same color.
The greens were as slow as molasses in January, but to their credit, green. You kind of have to pound the ball to get it to the hole. My instinct doesn't support that.
Carts worked great, but it like neutral more than forward. It seemed to have a mind of it's own..
Two star rating is pushing it! Didn't have ether heart to go one star but the greens were green painted on not.
Wish we had skipped this one. Had a great time with the gents paired with but course conditions leave a lot to be desired.
Although I read the reviews about the airport being closed, didn't realize that it's inside the golf course!
Pleasant surprise
The course was a pleasant surprise. I felt it was in pretty good shape for this early in the year. Mowed and neat, but not a lot of flowers for decoration. Staff is amazing.
Dear Kmrozek,
We can't thank you enough for the delightful comment. We love our golfers at KGC and we are happy you had some pleasant interaction with the team. Hope to have you back out soon.
Not too happy
I expected the course to be in better shape. The tee boxes were beat up and there were few flat spots on them. The fairway grass was very short and the grass appeared to be dormant. The Greens had been punched recently and the ball was not rolling true.
nice course
in comparison to other nearby courses this was a pleasure to play. the greens were very good, the layout is very good, the personnel were great and it overall was definitely worth the money.
Enjoyable!
Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways were slightly dry due to winter and drought conditions. Vintage airplane landings and takeoffs were a fantastic touch!
Winter Golf
I thoroughly enjoyed playing here all Winter, and brought my visiting friends. Thank you. Regards. From Canada, Ray Beauchamp.
Good layout
Third time playing. Needs some water as the fairways are quite dry and bumpy. Greens roll true and are nice to putt. Should have a Marshall to speed up play. Only two of us, but foursome in front refused to wave us through, they need to take a course on etiquette.
It's Kissimmee GC for me !!
I've played the Kissimmee GC every week since January. I love it. I bring my visitors here, and they love it. Thanks to the great staff.
My New Golf Home
This was the third time I've played this course. I'm a Hunters Creek resident, so I usually play Hunters Creek. I was really just looking for a better deal on golf on a Sunday, and got one here, and played it again.
Let me start by saying that everyone's cup of tea is different. There are some things about this course that might irk some people, but to me, it makes it unique and special.
For starters, it's next to a small airport, and there is plenty of traffic taking off and landing pretty much all the time. That might rub some people the wrong way, but I get a COMPLETE kick out of it, as I am a huge airplane buff. After you take a few swings, you really get used to the noise...or at least I do. The fairways are a little beat up at the moment, but in early March's dry weather, I expect that, really. The tee boxes and greens are in GREAT shape, and once I adjusted to the speed of the greens, my putts were pretty true. There are some challenging holes, if you're looking for that, and it has its share of easier ones, too. My only complaint is a personal one, but some of the fairways run adjacent to other fairways, so you kinda have to keep your head on a swivel for stray balls from other golfers, but it's a minor thing.
If you're a nature guru, there is PLENTY of it, as I saw three gator on this particular day, along with some turtles and waterfowl.
I saw a drink cart lady when I was in the clubhouse, but I never saw her when I was playing. I assume she does get out there from time to time, though.
Overall, this course has become my new favorite public type course. Great value for the money.
Great value.
This course was an exceptional value for the money. We booked it on Golf now. Greens were in good shape and rolled through. I played from the back tees which brought it to 6500 yards Lots of water. Right next to a airstrip which made it interesting
Slipping
Conditions have deteriorated since last visit. Greens are good but fairways need attention--rock hard and lots of bare spots. Too bad. Nice layout. I'll try again next fall.
nice course
It was a great day met some nice playing partners. The tee boxes were in bad shape otherwise good golf
Excellent
Very friendly staff. The course was in perfect shape. We'll play there again for sure
Nice Round
It was a decent place to play. Lots of water and smaller greens. The tee boxes are getting tired, but that is typical as they get a lot of play.
Green were in good shape
Was a great day to golf not to hot or cold, a little windy. We had a surprise visit from a alligator, otherwise it was a good day.
Dear JdSpalding,
We are sorry that we did not live up to your expectations but we are happy you had a great time. The airport is certainly a big part of the experience at KGC and most folks love the complimentary airshow they get with their round. Hope you give us another shot in the future.
