No one told me.
We have played this course many times. The conditions are usually OK for the money. This week RSR should have told you so you guys could have had them on "course alert" ! There were some temporary greens and others that should have been.
This place used to be great.
Even though I only paid $14 for the tee time I doubt I will be back until they improve the course conditions. This is too bad because the layout is great and this course used to be one of the best in North Orlando. It's obvious that they are not spending enough on maintenance on the course however the grounds around the clubhouse were nice. The grass/weeds in the rough on a few holes was waist high. Every green had damage. The carts are recycled from Mount Dora. Hole #9 has a temporary green cut into the fairway. Most of the greens on the back 9 were so bad that we played with a 2-putt rule. We did see a lot of wild life.
Sad
This course used to be super nice. I felt like crying when I saw the condition that it is now. It is one of the best lay outs in central Florida. I honestly thought about asking for my money back. We only payed $15 dollars and I felt that I threw that money away. It is a shame.. What a great course that used to be. I hope someone rescues it before is too late.
not worth the money
Course was in very poor shape. Greens and fairways are in very bad condition. Not worth $20 to play.
Rock springs dirt track
Play front 9, okay. To see a fairway of dirt on back, not a golf course. When you close the "other course you had, let it over grow and then try to convert to Frisbee golf...you Know it is bad. Community should buy and mantain since the course is in complete disarray
Poor condition
Course is in terrible condition with minimal grass in fairway. Greens are in poor condition. Only paid $4 for the round and still felt it wasn't worth the money.
need restoration greens
Was in better condition last time no grass in some greens. Need lot of improvements
Sad to see the course in this condition
I had played Rock springs Ridge many times before. I had played it before in tournaments and in different social outings. Unfortunately, tell that the people who now run the course really don't care about the course. There was More sand on the greens been there were in the sand traps. You can hit a Fairway Drive perfectly fine, but unfortunately you couldn't tell whether you were in the rough or in the fairway. The highlight was being able to see three red boxes and a few bald eagles, but as for the course, It was beyond lackluster.
A nice course with deferred maintenance
This is a well laid out course with a lot of pretty holes There is a a lot of ground work that needs to be done if you demand excellent fairways and greens. If you are training for a golf event in Saudi Arabia play it often.
This course needs a lot of work.
Greens are almost unplayable due to disease and neglect. Fairways are so overgrown with weeds that a true drive is a surprise. The only value here is there are so few players that no one gets in your way on the weekend.
course is challenging.
This course is in very bad shape.it needs a lot of work.it could be a very nice course otherwise.
Not good
Greens were in decent shape, some dirt patches on some. Large sections of fairways were mostly dirt. Most tee boxes were mostly dirt. Sand traps were like hitting off concrete. More dandelions than I've seen in a real long time. Not good conditions for the price.
Picturesque, moderately rolling fairways
I enjoyed this course for the second time. Not a lot of people so was not paired up. Greens were being sanded and were not freshly cut so were quite slow and shaggy. Bunkers were in good shape but did not have rakes available. I will come back .
Very poor shape
Played the course two months ago and it was in average condition. Since then it has dried out and is in very poor shape. Like hitting from concrete in the fairways. At least half the greens were in very poor condition. Won't be back and will not recommend.
weeds
The course needs work. The price was great and was good for practice.
Where's the grass?
It's sad to see what's happened to RSR. The greens are dead, and the fairways are gone. Sprinklers are running continuously on some holes and flooding the fairways. On other holes, it's like playing bunker shots from the fairways.
Clearly this track is suffering from lack of attention. I hope they turn it around. The only positive is there was no wait whatsoever.
Course layout
Greens much better than in past, as good as other local course. Fairways need work. Too many weeds and dry areas without grass. Was good during winter when seeded with rye and watered. Would like to see better fairways because the course layout is excellent. Could be a great course with a little more care and more support from the locals.
Fantastic layout in poor condition
Course not maintained properly. Fairways had many bare spots. Rough areas mostly weeds. Sand trap rakes few and far between. No food available. Restrooms on course not operating. Very few players for a Sunday with perfect weather.
Worst condition golf course (if you call it that)
I don't know why you have them on your listings. The tee boxes are either dirt or sand very little if any grass. The fairways don't exist and the greens are mostly hard dirt. Believe it or not the best thing about this course is the sand traps.
As you can see I have been using Golf Now several years now and I honestly can' understand why you have RSR on your list. I really would have never paid $28.00 to play this cow pasture.
They would have re-due this whole course to make it playable . I cannot and will not recommend RSR to anybody !!!
