donations to this golf course are welcome. They need to get grass back on the fairways.
BAD shape
They need to close this course and build more houses or take a lot more care of the property
I don’t think they are doing anything to fix the course it’s a good horse pasture.
Grass
My only complaint is that the fairways need cutting, otherwise it’s okay. I will be back!
Great Layout, Very poor conditions
Easy check in and that was the best part of my round. The tee boxes are trash as well as the fairways. There were a couple decent greens but most were in poor shape. The course layout was impressive. They should close the course for a few months and get it back in shape. I left after the 13th. Tee box was backed up 2 groups.
No grass on greens
No soft drink or candy bars or anything in the proshop or restaurant. Not been taken care of at all. Worst course conditions I've ever played at. We won't go back there.

Fairways and greens in rough shape
W won’t be back for a long time. Maybe if I can’t get a tee time anywhere else.

Horribly maintained
Giant holes and dirt all over the putting green. No fairways. Greens aren’t maintained

Beautiful Layout - appears on "hard times"
This course has the potential to be a really great track. Many of the holes could be stunning among the mature trees. It is fairly flat so it could be walkable. On the con side, the tees, fairways and greens, well, it would be charitable to call them sparse. The greens fee was quite a bargain. The staff, one nice lady, Gay, was up front that the course struggles financially and the conditions reflect it. On the other hand, it is golf, and for the price, my partner and I might well play it again, if only for imagining how it could be and to enjoy the overall design.

Amazing layout but greens/fairways/tees need TLC
My son and I played 9 holes just before a storm rolled through - the front nine had an amazing layout with incredibly tight, tree-lined fairways. The trees were ancient and gorgeous, the green complexes well-designed, and it was obvious that this course was once first-class. Now, the greens are very bumpy, the fairways and tees are sparse, but the course is still very enjoyable and playable as-is. At $12/player/nine holes, this sure seems like a great value.
The Preserve at Spruce Creek, Dunnellin, FL.
Course has been getting better over the years but does need some additional work. Coming from NYS for a vacation this works out well for us so we can get the links out of our game for the season up north. Cost is good, staff is good, food is good. If you can forgive some bare spots on the fairways and green this is a good place to play without breaking the bank.
Great little course
Course was perfect for our play. The price was great and we enjoyed our day.
Great value and a lot fun to play.
I’ve played here a number of times and it’s always a good way to spend the day. Like most other courses, course conditions are to some measurable degree at the mercy of the weather gods - they do their best to keep the course playable and enjoyable even in the absence of rain. Most fairways were respectable - there were only a couple where they requested “golf cart path only” as they’re trying to let them heal. Many greens were “good”, others “fair” with a few that could use some love, but overall for this time of year it was about what you’d expect. Owner’s a nice guy, the girls behind the bar in the clubhouse are great, and the food is surprisingly good - in fact I’d make the drive over there just for for a burger and fries lol. Definitely worth the money. Go.
Don't waste your time not worth playing
Not much grass anywhere and the greens are the worst I have ever seen.
