Played early in the day on a cool mornings start (8am). Even though damp the greens played fast. Greens in good shape and pin position was good enough to make play challenging. We finished in about 3 hours. I’ll keep going back for a quick round often in the future. Later day playing is usually overbooked in the winter taking more than 4 hours. New putting practice area leaves a lot to be desired. Fairways were in good shape.
The best greens in the area but the fairways...
The greens are absolutely beautiful. But since the average age apparently of the golfers here is 105 and no one gets the ball in the air, I guess it doesn't matter whether the ball in the Fairway is sitting up on grass or not. But I get it. It must be incredibly expensive to try to get a nice lawn especially when the course is owned by the city. But it's a fun course and the price is right. And again you will be amazed how good and fun the greens are to putt
Too many people.
4 carts waiting per hole = a very long round. No way should a par 3 and 4 course take 5 hours to play. Also a popular snowbird destination so that doesnt help.
Visiting the area for the weekend, this was a perfect course to play my first round of the year. Good shape. Greens were faster then expected. I couldn’t find a slope/rating on the card, but it’s typical Florida golf. Mostly flat, a little water, and wide open.
Good Executive course
Some challenging holes. Greens in good shoe, some fairways need work.
Pace was slow, short course requires a time space. We waited on every tee and most second shots.
Course closes at 6 pm and you’d better be off the course then!
Given all the recent rain, the course was in good condition. The fairways, through no fault of the course management, were a bit soggy in places but the greens were in good shape. Despite it being very busy, we played the course in just under four hours. We weren’t pleased that we weren’t told when we booked a 2:30 tee time that we had to be off the course by six. At 6:10 as we were teeing off on 18 we were told by a passing ranger to hurry and get off the course as it was after six. There were foursomes ahead and behind us who were told the same thing. We would play the course again, but certainly would take an earlier tee time as the rushed last hole left a bad taste. It didn’t help our score, for sure, on that hole.
This is a short 4000 yard course but there are a couple of nice challenging par fours. The greens were all in very good shape but the fairways left a lot to be desired. All in all good value for the money
Good place for high handicaps. Fairways and rough so so greens good.Good staff.
windy but fun
Today was a 2 to 3 club wind. The greens were excellent-fast,smooth,with challenging contours. The fairways and rough are typical winter/Bermuda dormant tight lies. "Chip" with putter is best option from just about everywhere. A very enjoyable layout, friendly staff, Worth regular green fee rate of $33.
