Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Course is in good shape considering the lacj of water this past year. Talked to someone on the course and they are getting ready to put in new irrigation so it should get even better.
Why
Followed an extremely slow foursome (at least 3 empty holes ahead of them) never an offer to play through & then when finished pound out they STARTED on hole #10! I don’t know if starter sent then there or they did it on 5heir own but either way THIS SHOULDN’T HAPPEN. one & a half hour front 9, 3 hour back nine! 😔
Scotland Yes.
Drove up about an hour and change from Bradenton. Got great value on a hot deal. It was cold, but I got paired up with 3 locals who live in the community, and they were great. Helped me out with course management. Place was in nice shape. Greens were fair and rolling well, fairways in good shape you can see it’s been seeded and watered. Would certainly go back again.
Tees and greens ok.
Tees and greens plus the fairways from 150yrds in were seeded and green. Rest of the course where I hit a lot of shots from was pretty rough!
Enjoyed the round
I enjoy playing at Scotland Yard Golf Course. Pace of play has always been good.
Excellent Value & Conditions
This was my first time playing this course. The greens and fairways were in excellent shape. The staff is friendly, and the layout is pretty good. There’s nothing exceptional about the course, but it is well kept and a great value.
Good value. Green’s reasonable course being worked on.
Some Holes were closed on the back 9 for irrigation installation. Still good value. Greens were good. Speed ok and lots of break. Friendly staff and people playing. Overall an enjoyable day.
Scotland
Course is doing major Reno which hinders your play somewhat on a few holes so far
They are putting in course irrigation which should make it nice in future but this should have been listed on GolfNow before you book tee time .
Also lots of local play which mini tournaments going on causing slow play with lots of people which again should be listed on GolfNow before tee time booked
Course is nice to play when you don’t have to deal with tons of people and course repairs going on
All this info should be listed every time on GolfNow so u can book someplace else before getting to course and finding out how bad it is to play that day
Golf day out
Golfed with two others, fun day had to wait on several t
Poor fairways
Fairways had areas that were reseeded and other areas that had no grass to play off
