Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Speedy Round At The Yard
Got a good price at the yard. Staff was friendly and we got right out. Twosome let us play through right on the first tee, which was a great sign. Fairways were a bit thin, greens were solid, a little slow but very puttable. Actually had sand in the traps. Good value and great pace, just over three hours made for a fun day.
What a great place to play golf!
We try to play here at least once a week and we are never disappointed. Thank you and please keep up the good work.
Just Playing Thru!
I have played Scotland Yard several times. The greens weren't bad but were slow, they did roll true. I would recommend a starter for this course, because I saw folks teeing off on hole #10 for their 1 tee, because the 1st tee had a few foursomes waiting to tee off. Staff was friendly, especially the cart attendant. He really made you feel welcome. The price is fair for the course.
Quality golf course for the price.
Very nice course in good condition. The layout is typical links with open fairways dotted with strategic bunkers that will bite you if you can't control your driver. The greens are bunkered and in very good condition. They are small , undulating and moderately fast but putts run true if struck properly. I always judge a course by asking myself "could I make this my home course"...I definitely could. I will definitely play it again.
Nice course
Challenging layout fairways kinda rough but around the greens and the greens are nice. You can tell improvement is being made.
good budget course
As my review title suggests, this is a good budget course. This is definitely the top of line course but for less than $40 on primetime Sunday morning I am not going to complain. The greens are in good shape. The fairways could use some work, but I have paid much more and experienced similar conditions. Only suggestion if you play on a weekend is to get out early, as we were making our way back towards the first tee there was quite a backup. I would definitely play again as it appears they are working on the conditions and for similarly priced courses it seems to be a bit better.
Excellent course and staff.
The owner/pro is very friendly and accommodating. His staff, especially Dave at pro shop and restaurant staff are great. The course recently had a new watering system put in and the course will only get better. This course is a gem.
Potential Potential Potential
Just installed water which will help for sure. Staff could have been friendlier but they were not disrespectful.

Fun round. Pace of play OK. Waited on a few Ts.
Fairways thin in a few areas but playable. Greens nice but slow.
Scotland yards
Very nice course. New grass around most greens and some fairways. The cartpath for #2 crosses in front of the green for #9. A little strange. Otherwise very fair layout.
