I had played this course many times in previous years, but I never had seen it in this kind of shape. Photo submitted by photorick1010
At the time that I played this course, the club house was scheduled to be to renovated . Photo submitted by photorick1010
The only thing worth making a positive comment on was on for this round was the beer girl. Photo submitted by photorick1010
It’s all about the slope
The greens are the hardest but so much fun to play. Really enjoyed this course and will be back
A Tale of Two Sides
What a difference between the front side and back side. After nine holes of patchy fairways and not so great layout I was tempted to head to the car and go home. But luckily I took the long drive to hole #10. What a difference on the back 9. It was such a difference. Well designed holes with lot's of water and ponds. Kind of felt like Plantation Preserve on the backside. Would play that side twice if given the option.
3.689 stars Water on Every hole
I probably never played an 18 hole course that had water on every hole! They also have 4 foot long Godzillas on every hole! Greens are above average. Prices are a little bit high but I was able to get a great deal on golf now! Thanks to Davie GC for participating with GolfNow.
The course is a good value, but don’t expect any bag or cart service - DIY only. It’s a shorter par 70 with pretty generous fairways, but the greens are smallish & undulating. Greens are in pretty good condition. Eat @ Mission BBQ after your round It’s right down the street.
A Hot Davie Deal
In a mere two and-a-half hours, my friend and I scampered over this tight, water-laden course whose well-conditioned fairways were offset by rock-hard bunkers and slow, patchy greens. One of Broward County's most challenging tracks wedged between several residential developments, Davie offers an entertaining layout that requires smart course management and sharp iron play. While we played in a steamy midday round, there was no beverage cart or cart attendants. Pro staff and starter were friendly, as well as snack bar attendant whose served up tasty chicken wraps and well-priced ($3.50) imported beer. A heck of a Hot Deal for $12.
Everything was very good , staff, fairways, greens ,pace of play had a good afternoon will recommend it
Great place at a great value
Very well maintain course, beautiful green.
Nice lay out. Hight of grass perfect. A lot of challenge and water.
Will come back for sure.
Nice course. Very challenging holes. Greens are in excellent shape. Lots of water. Great value.
It needs a nice clubhouse.
Course is in good condition. Enough of a challenge to make it fun, but a reasonable place for a high handicapper.
My second time playing Davie this summer and the course conditions improved drastically since early June. Fairways were much greener and more consistent, despite our pain in the neck daily rains, and the greens were better. I'm happy they didn't convert this into condos as seemingly every other course is turning into. There is some history here, I have played this layout for decades going back to the Arrowhead days.
Very happy with this course. Great pricing, good challenging course for amateur golfer. Has driving range.
Short, But Very Sweet
Warmer, wetter weather has revived this quirky municipal track as greens and fairways are starting to fill in nicely. Davie's famed undulating greens were still sluggish, but putting remained an adventure, thanks to funky pin placements. Bunkers were in good shape, and thankfully, not too deep. With French Canadians and stateside snowbirds having departed, I scampered through a mostly solo round in just over two hours, then capped off pleasant cruise around the links with a couple of spicy Jamaican patties and two Heinekens for a most reasonable $12. Beverage cart service was unavailable, unfortunately.
