Fun day at Oak Trail. Photo submitted by KingGeo3 on 12/28/2012
Not what it seems
Odd place. Some of the holes don't fit with the others. I've played the other Disney courses and some of the holes here have the same feel. The other half looked like my back yard. So half the holes are like a real course half are featureless straight always to warm up on.
Tough Test
For a nine hole course, this has it all - water, sand, woods, challenging greens and beautifully designed golf holes. Not an easy course. But it is fun to play! I’ll be back since it’s the best walking course in the Orlando area.
A good walk…
This is a nice 9-hole layout that is a good walk…spoiled or unspoiled by the golf. The holes are relatively short, but there are two par fives and plenty of trouble to be found. Pace of play was good. Short waits a a couple holes. Overall fun and interesting layout.
Little to no grass; cut too short
Greens were in good condition overall, but fairways were cut way too short. Every shot from the fairway was a "tight lie". Would recommend playing this course when the Bermuda comes back in spring-Summer.
Disney Oaks Golf course
Course was in good shape and lay out was fine. Play was slow due to a six some in front of us. 2 45 to do 9 holes. Not sure how that happens. For that reason I didn't enjoy the round as much as I should have.
This course is perfect for us!
My wife and I played and it was perfect for us. We enjoy walking and 9 holes is just enough for 2 retired individuals.
Truly enjoyed our round.
Very average course
The best part of this course was the staff, very friendly and helpful. The putting area was excellent as well. As for the course it was very average from layout to course maintenance. Greens where slow, good driving range, fairways were not in great shape.
Walking
Nice round with 2 friendly people. Nice bright day but very cold.
Fairways in very poor condition and greens very slow. 9 hole walking course. Rough fairways so walking with pushcart fairly difficult, lots of ruts.
Didn't expect to pay $10 each for the pushcart. They included some practice balls with that but didn't want them
Nice quaint course, tough greens, some tight fairways
Nice quaint course, tough greens, some tight fairways
80% of the larger courses
Course was in excellent condition. Don’t have time for 18? Play this course! Locals we got paired up with said they believe this course gives you 80% of what you experience with Disneys 18 hole courses. Keep an eye out when walking next to water. Almost stepped on an alligator!
Inexpensive challenging course with not so well kept greens and Amarillo holes in the fairway
Thank you for your feedback on your recent round at Walt Disney World® Golf. We apologize for the fact that your were displeased with the facilities and services that your experienced. We hope that you will play our wonderful courses again in time to come, so we can exceed your expectations upon your next visit to Orlando. If you would like to discuss what you and your group encountered during your visit with our management staff, please feel free to reach out to our Leadership by emailing disneygolfreservations@palmergolf.com so that we can help resolve your residual concerns.
The design of the Oak Trail course is such that it is suitable for more novice golfers, and those with young family so that they may navigate through the course more easily, and therefore the holes are somewhat shorter and the hazards not quite as challenging as our championship courses.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us!
