Greens keeper does an excellent job.
Greens are in excellent shape and course well maintained.
Wildlife is excellent
An excellent course, which I would play again without any hesitation.
I played Pelican Preserve in the late summer of 2015 and found the course conditioning very poor for a private facility. Thru the grapevine I heard a new course superintendent was brought in and conditions had vastly approved. Because of this I’ve been looking for a chance to revisit. We were paired with 2 great members who provided plenty of course guidance. I found the conditioning had improved 360. We played the Heron/Ibis combo. Heron is a great layout. Ibis is a different type design. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The clubhouse top notch. All in all a complete turn around and a club you should certainly play. Thank you.
This is a perfect deal. The course is in perfect shape. You can see that this course is privat from November to May.
Nice round - paired with two fellows who were fun to play with - my partner and I enjoyed the experience
This is a great course. Only problem is that the greens were recently area rated. Generally there is an advisory on Golf Now when this is the case. Otherwise course was is beautiful shape
The housing community around the course has grown greatly but does not impinge on the course or play. The greens were great and fast.
Sped around the first 5 holes until we ran into a group ahead - they left after they finished on Heron. We then played IBIS in under 2 hours.
Good condition but not too challenging
Played the Egret and Ibis Courses on April 26, 2016 for the first time. The Ibis course is a very easy course and only the par 3's are challenging. Condition was good and the greens were a little slow, but in good shape. The Egret course is more challenging and has a better overall look to it. The greens were a little faster, but some greens had a areas of fungus damage, but they were not bad. We were told the greens on the Egret course were slated to be repaired in May. Overall an OK course but not worth big bucks as there many better courses in the area.
Very playable layout and nice wildlife.
Well worth the trip! Played Ibis and Egret 9s with three members and had a great time. Challenging layout yet very fair. Course in great playing shape with the exception of a few brown patches of green on Egret 9 that really didn't impact play. No on course beverage service, however water and ice in sll the right places. Staff members were all friendly helpful. Two thumbs up...I will be back!
Rough condition after a rough patch of weather.
The course is currently very wet; as are many courses in the area due to a pretty rough patch of weather over the past two weeks.
In addition, this is supposed to be a very upscale course - unfortunately, it is not playing that way at this moment in time. We’ll give them some time and try it again at a later date.
Several greens have been attacked by pythium. There is a temporary green on 7. There should be one on at least one other green, as well!
Generous fairways, average conditions at best
I give this course an average rating at best because it doesn't hold candle to the surrounding courses. Poor practice range, no beverage cart and bare spots on some of the greens.
Course has slipped
Course was not in good shape. Had a temporary green, was not informed of this and we were charged normal rates. I have played these three nines many times and was never disappointed before. It is going to be awhile before these agronomy issues are resolved.
The course has a temporary green due to pythium. 3 greens have been sodded. Overall, there are weeds and crabgrass everywhere. The fairways are thin and greens have bare spots everywhere!
