Great hot weather, course in good condition and always enjoyable.
Worth the Drive
New favorite course.. Rolling fairways & undulating greens made for an enjoyable round of golf
No fancy clubhouse but the food is excellent.
Michael Angelo was pleasant to deal with & the starter was very helpful in explaining the course to us..
Would recommend this course.
Good tee boxes for ladies. My wife recommends this course too
This is a tight, tough course but it is gorgeous. Nestled in the mountains of Ramona the layout takes you across ravines, from peak to peak and from high to low with picturesque views at every turn and summit. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in great shape.
I was disappointed that there was no driving range to warm up on but grossly more disappointing was that they charge you for buckets of balls to hit into a net! That is absurd and just the mentality that makes someone think that's ok is baffling. The "pro shop" is a little prefabricated building with a grill inside. The offered products were adequate but, I have to say that the guy working the register in the pro shop was off putting. He was a little condescending in his comments and even after I said I didn't need any gear, he flippantly dismissed my opinion and continued to push their products. I found this annoying and will tune this guy out if I go back.
The grounds staff, starter and Marshall's were all very friendly and helpful. They all seemed eager to help and were very helpful. Their attitudes were extremely positive and they were all very knowledgeable.
The bottom line is that the course is really nice. It beautiful and challenging but the pro shop experience and the mind set of the management left much to be desired.
Fun course, greens in good shape, got caught behind a slow foursome. No range available, just had an opportunity to hit into a net.
This court has excellent views
Very very good relationship between the price and the quality of the court.
Best condition for thr past 15 YEARS
Hi i play here for over 15 years the course is in the best condition hands down
Greens accurate fairways in great shape still a jame in the mountain
Thank s urs h
Course was pretty aversge. Cool area if you like 1700 ft above elevation mountain golf. Layout is what it is because of area it’s in, pretty stupid back to back par 5s though. Greens way too soft, tee boxes were pretty poor compared to the rest of the course. Pace of play was good for Saturday late morning.
Beautiful scenery and views
I booked a 3-some for the Vistamar gang of Laguna Niguel, and we had a super day on the course. Greens were a little slow due to being spongy and rough, but still deceptively quick on some down hill putts. (Must have been punched in the last mo. or so) Some unexplained wetness on various spots on the course. However, we drove about 70 miles one way to the course and all would do it again, enjoying the views and scenery immensely. The staff was friendly and accommodating and my buddies enjoyed the $6.00 margaritas. We will be back!
Mount Woodson Is A Gem
Great experience playing on Friday. The course is in very good condition, the price was right and the staff was excellent.
A hidden gem
This 6000 yard course is very challenging and might require even more than the 14 club limit. Lots of elevation changes and forced carries. Plenty of water and sand bunkers. The course was in good shape however the sand traps need some work and the tee boxes some better mowing. Got paired up with three enjoyable people and had a wonderful time. The 450 foot trestle bridge is amazing.
Enjoyed the course very much. Friendly staff
Greens were good shape but a little slow compared to other courses in the area.
Had a great time. Back nine has some I nteresting hole layouts
Course is in great shape. Get out and play Woodson!
Short but challenging
Course was very challenging for the distance. Some parts of the fairways were a little rough because of recent rain erosion and the greens were still recovering from being punched but overall a good experience.
