LOTS OF TROUBLE AROUND THE HOLES AND REQUIRES A PRECISE SHOT INTO MOST GREENS.
ALWAYS A CHALLENGE TO PLAY AND WOULD RECOMMEND THE COURSE TO ANYONE IN THE AREA.

Really nice course, I will definitely play again. Tough but fair. Staff were great. Only criticism would be to shave collars around the greens a bit closer in spots so you can putt the ball squarely if up against them, backswing is impeded.

The course was in great condition and we played at a good pace for the majority of the time. I believe the course is one of the best in the area.

Played here twice this month. One of the best condition courses around. Lots of tees to choose from depending on your skill level. Some of the rough will swallow your ball. Very challenging

I played 10 different courses to date in August and River Strand is the best I've played....only one exception, the greens were not at their best but playable.

Definitely one of the nicer courses in the area. Very good conditions all around with some of the quickest greens around. It has rained a lot recently and the greens still ran a 10 on the stimp meter. The property is gorgeous, the staff was extremely courteous, friendly and accommodating. The layout reminds me of Esplinade in Lakewood ranch. Mostly wide open off the tee with the bulk of the challenge coming on your approach shots. It seemed like the par 5s were long and most of the par 4s were rather short- some of the greens are even drive-able from the white tees. If I had to find something negative, i would say although the course was beautiful and very well maintained I feel like the layout was a little less than memorable with some of the holes looking similar to others and no really stand out signature holes. But that's just splitting hairs because it really is a wonderful facility with a great practice area and a beautiful clubhouse. If you can get a hot deal jump on it you will be impressed from the minute you arrive!

Layout is wonderful and the course is in pristine condition. Will definitely play there again.

Great course with a really fun layout, not overly challenging off the tee which I prefer as it wasn't super long and the fairways were accessible and plush. Attacking the greens took a little more thought as pin location definitely affected where you wanted to leave yourself so as you'd have a chance at a two put. Some of the more interesting breaks and challenging pin locations I've seen in all of Sarasota Bradenton area. Definitely worth the money and will be back for certain in the summer before the crowds engulf this place in season.

Great value for the price. It is challenging from the standpoint that a lot of lies place the ball below the feet for the right handed golf promoting a push fade or slice where a lot of hazards are positioned. You need to be aware of this to avoid big numbers.

It sure is nice to see RSGC open to the public again. Every time I play here it's in great condition.Greens,fairways and rough r in great shape. Plan to play again soon. Bad point is, since I'm not a member, they won't let me take a shower after the round. ..I have to drive to different course. ...

Great course for $30-$40, well worth the money.

Greens are always fast and well manicured.

All 3 nines are fun to play.

Resort style golf (generally open fairways), but also a fun/good layout with character as well.

greens fab very subtle, staff excellent , very good value, dont care for water driving range , but rest of practise facility exellent, greens great and very subtle.
I played from the wrong tee (white) I'm too old and not that good but enjoyed the round. my son-in-law and I were paired up with a great father and son who were very good but who were also very accepting. we do our best never to slow down play or complain.
Play the course for sure

Once again, best conditioned course in the area....as always. Guess thats why it's almost impossible to get on during the season. Greens were nice & smooth & quick, tee boxes still nice, and fairways still pretty plush, except for an occasional dry spot here & there. Bunkers full of proper sand & recently turned & raked.....again...this course is always pristine!!! A typical Arthur Hills layout.... fair but challenging....gotta place the ball occasionally to score well. Always a fun round, although today at 4 1/2 hours, a tad slow.

We played River Strand for the first time and had a perfect day. The course is extremely well manicured and it is an interesting and enjoyable. The fairways are wide enough and provide good targets. The greens are tricky and fast - you have to put your ball in the correct place or you may be three putting - or worse. But the greens are fun since we don't normally get to play surfaces this good. The par threes are quite challenging. The sand in the bunkers is very good. There are a few water hazards but they are avoidable. Watch for the water and play away from it as the ground often slopes down just where your ball landed! This is possibly the best course we have played in Florida and we will go back for sure. Pace of play was great - a pleasant change - and the weather was perfect. The Rangers were very friendly. So glad we played this course.

The whole course (3 nine's) is well taken care of. Greens are rolling about an 11 on the stimp meter. Undulating greens make you pay attention. Very easy to putt it off the green from above the hole. 1ST Class facility. EXCELLENT food. Prices aren't cheap, but are reasonable for what you get.

Just moved to E Bradenton area and have tried numerous courses. This is my favorite. Great 27 hole layout and greens are in great shape. They post green speed daily and generally run 10.6 - 11.5. Too bad this course will turn private soon and restricted to community members. If u r in area this is a must play.
