Ideally situated between the vibrant Miami nightlife and laid back atmosphere of the Florida Keys, Keys Gate Golf Club offers the best of south Florida golf. The lush landscape is covered in lakes and ponds that come into play on nearly every hole. Jut a short drive from the coast, the course enjoys warm ocean breezes. Overall the golf course is wide-open but there are swaying palms scattered throughout providing some challenges but mostly scenery. The layout features small greens and manicured fairways. There are also a few treacherously placed bunkers along the fairways and greensides. Keys Gate has garnered a large following since it offers a good value. Golfers from as farm south as Marathon Key have been known to come up for a round.

Great course compared the other average courses in Miami. It provided a great challenge on some holes that required precision shots. Course was well maintained considering the dry season. Excellent staff and for the price it's the best value in Miami.

Not a very good course
The greens were in terrible condition, you basically were putting through sand traps to get to the pin. Fairways grass not very good.
Getting better ever day.
I played this course last summer and the course was in terrible shape. Standing water all over, rutted fairways, and bare greens. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I played this week, The course was dry, the fairways were in good shape, though still bumpy, and the greens have been worked on and are now in decent shape but are still in need of some work which they are doing now. For the price, this course is a good deal.
Needs A LOT of work
This could be a beautiful course if maintained properly. It seems the staff there is at least trying, but its not in good shape at all. The tee boxes have sparse, tall grass. The fairways aren't too bad but if your ball is even a foot into the rough it's a challenge to find it because the grass/weed is so thick. The day I played they were cutting the rough at 10-10:30 AM and leaving large clumps of cuttings everywhere, making it even harder to locate your ball. The greens are better than they used to be but still very bumpy with some having large bare spots. For the price it's hard to complain, but... it just leaves a lot to be desired. The driving range is a water range with the targets a good 15 feet below the tee so you can only guesstimate carry distance. And forget about roll/spin or full distance, you're out of luck. The cost for range balls is steep too, $11 for a large bucket and $5.50 for a medium.

Appalling
I could not believe what I was looking at every time we got to the greens. Huge areas all over without grass. Their were holes on the greens everywhere. You couldn't put without your ball suddenly changing directions a few times and bouncing all over the place. Save yourself a day of frustration and don't go.
Great value but poor condition
The course is in poor condition. The fairways are bumpy and fool of holes with a lot of weeds. The greens are in poor condition and with a lot of dead grass. It does looks like they are trying to fix them.
THE COURSE HAS EXCELLENT POTENTIAL.
RIGHT NOW ONLY THE FRONT NINE IS OPENED. THE COURSE NEEDS BETTER GROUNDS MAINTENANCE.
IN THE PAST, I HAVE PLAYED IT WHEN IT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN AT PRESENT.

your sale price was the same as the walk up price .... I was very dissapointed in this booking!
Good recreational golf play
Good for practicing golf shots. Recommend it for novice players.
