Oaks vs Cypress
I have played both the courses here now. Oaks clearly gets a lot more play. While a little more open than cypress, cypress was in much better condition. It was a packed tee time schedule on Oaks and started off very slow the first 3 holes, then pace of play picked up finishing a 3 hour 40 minute round for 2 players.
Pleasantly surprised, new addition to our weekly course rotation.
This was our first time playing here and all of us drove about 45 minutes to an hour to get here. The staff upon arrival are friendly and courteous and the same went for everyone we interacted with that day. This course was fairly forgiving and in excellent shape. We all had a great time and look forward to coming back. Finished with lunch at the clubhouse and the prices and food were both impressive. Awesome round and day, can’t wait to come back.
Stonegate Oaks Course
This was my first time playing this course. We drove about 45 miles to get there but it was well worth the drive. Their staff was friendly and helpful. The course itself was in great shape even though they had recently had a good deal of rain. Loved the large greens which were in great shape. Will definitely plan to play again soon.
Good value for money
Played the oaks course and got a significant discount because of aerification and it was not even noticeable. Staff were very friendly from the moment you get there, great layout, not too challenging even for a beginner like me and very well maintained. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic value
Got this at a reduced because of aeration being carried out and have to say this turned out to be superb value, greens were still in good shape and fairways were in great condition, excellent layout and wide fairways so not too much trouble, , very quiet so no hold ups which was great, not as challenging as the Cypress course but very enjoyable, lovely staff and great amenities, had a beer and a meal in the clubhouse afterwards which was great value also, would recommend to everyone to give this great course a try.
Great speed on the greens.. and some tricky pin positions
Great Course With Many Improvements
A friend and I travel to the Orlando area frequently and wanted to give this course another try after a previous not so great experience. I am so glad we did. The Oaks course was in great shape and pace of play was vastly improved. The course was challenging yet forgiving, which made it an enjoyable round for us. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. They had plenty of carts available this time and we were not rushed. Having a morning tee time was excellent as it was not too hot. I also enjoyed the overall beauty of the course along with the wildlife (which you should enjoy from a distance). We will definitely be returning in the future and recommend you do too.
The Oaks
The course is in very good shape, especially the back nine. Really enjoyed our round.
Great course, excellent staff!
David at the pro shop was outstanding! He made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. The course was in great condition and the pace of play was pretty good considering how busy they were. Prices were great compared to other courses in the area! Will definitely play here on our next trip to Orlando.
Lone Ranger
Very well maintained course. Very polite staff in Pro shop. Waited short time for carts. Teed off at 4:12 through Golf Now. Unheard of price for this quality of course.. I just don’t understand why NO ONE in Florida wants to send a ranger out on their course to speed up play. We played in a threesome and could have been done in three hours. Also young man who lived there jumped in front of us on back nine and slowed play further. Still the deal of the spring down here.
