Fun course
We played Water Oak for the first time yesterday. Everyone we encountered (staff, members, other outside players, woman at the gate, & the couple we were paired with) were extremely friendly & welcoming. The course is an interesting/fun layout with tees to suit everyone. The greens are in great shape - challenging with lots of undulations. The grass in the fairways isn't great (no doubt in large part because it's winter in Florida), and our range finders didn't work since the yardages we were getting apparently date back to the days prior to Water Oak's major overhaul. I must be honest in that we didn't agree with the course's top 25 in Florida public courses rating. However, Water Oak is definitely one you'll enjoy and put on your list to go back to.
Nice upgrade and layout
Course was in good condition for time of year. Growing season should improve fairway grass. Nice layout but some congestion on a few holes.
Do NOT Recommend
Paid $76 for 9 holes. End of the day. Why they paired us with another two-some, I do not know. Couldn't enjoy the course or playing because the couple kept picking our balls up and rushing us. I won't be back! Competition is too high in this area. Very disappointed. Didn't even finish playing because I couldn't enjoy.
Going to be a great little track
The starter told us the course just invested six million dollars and it looks it. They are still working on things by the look but when the grass does grow in this will be a good course for the money. It is a little congested but not too bad, I was playing from the back tees otherwise it would not be an issue at all.
very nice course with a five star future
I was pleasantly surprised with the Water Oak course. Greens are in 5 star condition. The fairways are thin but you can see the work they are putting in to improve the course.
Many elevation changes which are rare for Florida courses. Quite interesting layout. Brand new carts.
The staff and customer service was excellent.
I will definitely be back.
Water Oaks
Nice course, great layout and cold beer at the end.
some very good holes and some challenging greens. fairways need to grow in a bit more in certain areas but we enjoyed the course and will play again.
First time
We were fortunate to play with a fellow who had played there before. The starter was extremely friendly. Course and people were very nice.
Greatly Surprised
I played this course a few years ago. I was not impressed. Since then, a lot of money was put into the course and it shows. The layout is more challenging, The fairways are in good condition considering it's winter. The greens are excellent. We had a great time and we will definitely return. This course is going to be sweet once growing season continues.
I liked the course.Greens are nice and fast.Staff was pleasant.
Greens are amazing but rough and fairways could use some work
The course isn’t in the best of shape but every time I go back it gets better. The staff is amazing and willing to help. There is a bar at the turn called the 19th hole and it is great. Would highly recommend for the price. You just can’t beat it.
Capt Canada
Great track especially from tips. If you can drive 225 you can play from blues. Tons of elevation and par 3s over water. Highly recommend! Only downer was went to pato after the round for lunch and were and no server came out for 10 or 15 minutes so we left.
