Perfect if you are short on time
Really nice little course if you want to get in a little golf before heading to one of the areas other attractions.it's not a pitch and putt they are real par 3s in very nice shape
Poor customer service from both Orange Lake and Golf Now
The course was completely fogged in at 8:30am ( my tee time ). There was no way to see the ball in front of you much less hit into a white fog. The attendant, The attendant Michael Anthony who is supposedly a manager told me that he would contact Golf Now on my behalf but that I should also call them as well. Needless to say he did not. Golf Now was having technical difficulties with their phone, exscept if you were a course representative, then they would answer. When I finally emailed Golf Now I was told that there could not be a credit if the course was not closed. My fault ??? When I tried to reach Orange Lake again, to possibly arrange for some type of credit, all I spoke to was a group of deceitful representatives who told me that Michael would have to verify my story. They gave me excuses for his non attendance for 5 straight days after my tee time. Call tommorow, cal after 3:00, oh, he won't be in after all, I will give him your message, I will have him call you. He did not even have the decency to get back to me after 10 phone calls, although one can not even say if he ever did get any of the messages, or if he was sitting right there. I still do not understand why the course was not closed. Someone could have gotten seriously hurt.
With all that said, we did not enter the green and did not play. Michael told me to call Golf now. Golf Now absolves themselves from everything because the course was not closed. They could have least tried to contact someone at Orange Lake to get me a credit on that end, but would not. Out $25 including my credit used.
The course is in great shape. Easy to walk. STAff friendly.
The person in the pro shop is very helpful and very helpful. Course in great shape.
Unique Experience
I had never played night golf until last night. This was truly a unique and fun experience. I had no idea what to expect coming into this round. You will have a hard time believe the yardage because your depth perception is altered at night, there were times when it was 170 yards and it looked over 200. The greens rolled true but they were on the slow side. A couple of them were aerated as well. All-in-all it was a great experience and I look forward to doing it more regularly.
Fun time
Course was under some repair but we still had a great time playing at night
My only complaint was lack of signage on some holes directing us to the next tee. Assume this may be related to the recent hurricane. Other than that, the course was in great condition and was a pleasure to play.
Great example for all night courses!
This course exceeded my expectations. When my buddies said I was playing a night executive course, I was not anticipating such a nice facility. The layout was fun, and the greens were on the smaller side which made for a great challenge. I would recommend this course to the scratch golfer and the once in a blue moon golfer. Very fun!
Played a night golf round. The course was in excellent condition, even with rain all week long. There was a great mixture of short and long holes, but all conditions were in great shape. I would play here every Friday if my schedule would allow it!
Great on so many levels.
Great fun with a group of 20 at the lighted 9 hole walking course! Course conditions are surprisingly good, the pull carts (which are included) glide effortlessly across the well-maintained cart paths and fairways. Greens, tee boxes, and bunkers are all in great shape. This course is a hidden gem that is great for all ages and skill levels!
Lovely 9 hole par 3 course
We played the Legends Walk course at Orange Lakes twice in one day. Once at 8:40 AM and once at 7PM. Both rounds were booked via GolfNow app. I rang ahead as I was unsure where we should go to check in as it is a huge complex. Terence was an excellent host and was standing outside the pro shop at 8:30 AM to welcome us. He also gave us a free club hire ticket when I mentioned we might be back the same day to play again in the evening.
The course is very pleasant to play, especially if you have younger golfers in your family as I do. Lots of wildlife such as cranes and vultures to be seen as you make your way round. The fact that it is floodlit makes it even more accessible - we didn't need the lights until the 8th hole for our evening round and they were not on when we needed them, however they switched on after about 5-10 minutes and enabled us to complete the course. I would say I enjoyed the evening round more as the temperature was more comfortable.
Overall playing this course was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for both myself and my 12 year old son. Club hire was $15 each - I was given a 12 club full set and my son was given a 5 club junior set. I didn't want half the clubs in the bag since this is only a par 3 course but Terence explained they had to be hired like that and since we had trolleys no problem. Each round came in at around $25 for the pair of us so given that we had free club hire for the evening round it was extremely good value for us as well. Golf trolleys (not carts) were also included so all in all a good deal for Florida golf I think.
We would play here again when we are back next time - perhaps trying the slightly longer 'Crane Bend' course instead.
Bad condition
Arrived at the complex and went to the pro shop. And was told i had to go to a different building around the corner. Couldnt find the building so asked a member of public who told me its 3/4 of a mile down the road. Pro shop worker failed to tell
Me this and seemed rude. Although im aware that florida is struggling with a drought right now. The course was in terrible condition, the tee zones were in a shocking state. And the marks on the greens were everywhere. Looks to me that this course has been badly neglected and the other courses on the complex had been given all the attention. Was the only person on the course and could see why.
Nice course
Nice 3 par course.
But was really hard to find. The staff sent us to the wrong place 2 times before we finally it. But nice layout.
Nice for beginners
I played with my wife who is just learning the game. We were able to golf with just the two of us with no one pressuring us. I played from the back tees and there are some plenty challenging part 3's. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were fair. Would play this course again.
Walkable
A nice walkable course to practice 5 wood shots and iron shots. Great track for the average player. Sand traps strategically placed. Played the 9 holes in just over an hour.
A Wonderful Walk
This nine hole walking course at Orange Lake Resort is a great warm-up for the golf season.
Challenging par 3
While not in great shape, the layout for a par 3 course is challenging with many green side traps and narrow greens.
Great course
We arrived one hour prior to our tee time. We were allowed to start play immediately. Course was in fairly good shape with well designed hazards and good pin placement. Long fairways on a number of holes allowed the use of woods, which is unusual for a par 3 course. All in all, a very pleasant 9 hole experience.
