Not a good value
Probably the best thing about this course was the layout, it was challenging with plenty of trees and rough To get into, but over all the course conditions were really poor, the fairways are mostly dirt. the greens are decent ,they roll pretty well and true. staff is not very friendly, And locals are not very welcoming. It is very overpriced ,considering course conditions and area. Staff claims that it will be back in another month, but still not worth the greens fee.
Exactly what I expected for $40
The course is needs some live and money put into it. The fairways are not over seeded. The lay out was fine as were the greens. I bet it was something in its day and could be restored. We paid $40 and it is exactly what I expected.
Nice course, lay out and value for the average golfer.
My novice GF and I had an enjoyable round there on the way to Jacksonville. The front 9 holes by the lake & marsh were really scenic to play and were our favorite. It's not plush or the most manicured but would still give a 3.5 on condition since the green were still pretty flat. Like I said, great value for under $40. Would play again if I was in the area.
Greens quick fairways need help
Fla winter is tough on grasses BUT hard sand is sand.
Nice place
For less money u can play the nicest course within 40 miles country club of lake city is really nice and worth a try if u haven't played there yet
Conditions
Everyone here is doing everything they can to
Make the Country Club @ Lake City a premiere facility once again. Thanks for the good job guys.
Dry, playable but needs attention
Overall the course was dry but green and tee boxes and fairways were playable. Rough and cart paths need work.
Great Conditions
Course is in as good of condition as I can ever remember. The only negative is they allow fivesomes and sixsomes. And on a Saturday morning they really bog down the golf course. Otherwise it’s terrific and a real bargain.
