Greeted very friendly in the proshop and picking up the cart. The course layout good with a good mix of Florida landscape with a mix of home sites. Greens rolled nicely fairways good the tees except the whites a little tore up. Will play again next year when down in the winter.

Just Average & Slow Pace
I played Timacuan about 4 years ago. The quality of service has went down. I checked in and went to get my golf cart and could not find the person who was supposed to give me my keys to the golf cart. I knew that things was going to get worse. They did not have a starter and they started on the back nine. When I went to the 10th hole to start, there were six in a group teeing off. I tried to be patient and play two balls to slow my pace. That didn’t work. I could not get in any rhythm so I just started practicing different swings. On the bright side, the greens were running fast and that is what Timacuan has always been known for. The fairways was dried out and cut too short. The experience at Timacuan is typical of a lot of Florida golf courses these days. You get what you pay for and a lot less.

Course needs help
Just a heads up, I play here once a month and this course needs some major help. The staff are very friendly and nice. But the golf course is the worst shape I’ve ever seen it.. Tee box are filled with sand, fairways dried out, and the greens are in rough shape. Hopefully, they get this course back in shape and soon? Really disappointed!!

Fantastic greens
Greens were fantastic. They putted very fast and true. Fairways were typical for Florida in winter. No overseeding. Only drawback was that it took 5 hours to play.

Thirsty
The greens, fairways and tee boxes are so dried out, everything dying. Greens were fast and baked with some disease. Not a good value for money.

Not worth the money
Course is in really bad condition. Great layout and fun course but tee boxes, fairways and greens all in such bad condition. Not worth more than $40 to play there!

timacuan
The fairways were bad. Hard pan throughout. Tee boxes were also in poor condition. The track itself was excellent. I did enjoy the extra yardage on drives due to the condition of the fairways. Many of the greens were also in poor condition. I did notice construction of new tee boxes on a few holes so there may be a restoration plan underway. I can only hope!!

Greens And Tee Boxes
I've played this course several times. Each time I enjoyed playing except for the greens and tee boxes. Although I gave the course high marks overall the greens are a deterrent in going back so quickly or referring a friend. The greens were very..very dry and hard need to be water and some areas repaired. It takes the fun out the game if the greens aren't in good shape its frustrating. Most courses water there greens management need to focus more on improving the greens and tee boxes the round would have been better.

Fast, fast, fast
Love the course and the value.
But with the lack of rain the greens and fairways were insanely fast.
Would highly recommend it to anyone and will definitely play it again

Should’ve read reviews first.
Very dry. Everywhere you hit off of is a hard pan. The greens are like putting on concrete. The fairways are in mediocre shape. With that being said, the amenities are nice and the carts have GPS. Would not pay over $30. The course was in better shape this time last year!!

Beautiful Course, but
Cannot give a top review because the fairways and greens need quite a bit of attention. Difficult course w/ ponds to go over. Needs fertilizer and some t l c.
