The Club at Eaglebrooke
About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Nice but value isn’t there
2 holes completely closed. 9 others cart path only. I feel we overpaid given those facts and no warning til you show up to the course . Tees and fairways are quite shaggy… like hitting out of the semi rough on the tee.
Fun layout but honestly a $50 experience right now, at most!
Great layout
As always I enjoy my round at Eaglebrook. I just don't agree with the prices. The course isn't quite worth the $75(I did manage) to get it cheaper though. Used to play here a lot when it was $50 during the summer, now I only play when I get a deal. Still love the course just wish it was a little cheaper for what you get.
Nice course but pricey these days!
Course always is great shape. Rates are too high. $75 weekday rate for summer is pricey. Orange County is $59, southern dunes is $50 during the summer. Course is nice but we went from weekly to every 3 months just because of rates.
AWESOME ROUND !! GREAT COURSE!!
Played a Thursday afternoon round for $40, hot deal with coupon, no brainer. Best conditions for a summer round in last few months and nice layout. Only downfall was the 5some infront, they weren't too bad though, still finished in 4h.
Worth the drive from Tampa, will be back!
Worth the Money
Beautiful & Challenging at the same time. Course is fair and playing from the Blue Tees made it a much different course. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly.
Adding to my lineup
Great course. Tough but fair.
Will be back to play soon
Not currently a premier course in Florida and over-priced
Paid $75 for nine holes and a cart. This is far too high for a course that is in poor condition. Tee boxes are beat up, numerous patches of crabgrass in the fairways, grass on the greens is thin and riddled with ball marks. Bunkers are not raked or even dragged and the sand is shallow. $45-50 would have been a more reasonable price.
Nice layout
Couse was un good condition, plays very fair.
Good straight forward layout.
Great course, tough layout
Played the day after the US open qualifier and it was Def a challenging setup. Greens were rolling quick. Pin positions were tough but fair. I really enjoy the course just wish they would drop the prices just a touch during the week.
Always a good day here
Course always in good shape. When it’s mint it’s one of the better courses in central florida. It doesn’t look it’s best currently but very playable etc. the layout os great. Good holes. Very storable but can play hard when the wind blows. The rate is way too high. I know prices have went up but $95 on a weekday in the summer is just not worth it.
Excellent greens. Little dry in spots but that is expected with no rain. Definitely play it again. Oh, and the restaurant food was great as well.
4.5 Stars
Teed off at 0750. I am an avid golfer. Very nice course here and will be back to redeem my 3 putts. Greens are very challenging. Only complaint I had is the bunkers were pretty crap everywhere. Unfortunately ended up in a few more than I planned. Price is steep but most of Florida is. Great track here I do recommend for lower handicap players.
All good, but not great
We were a deuce stuck between 2 groups and we felt rushed on every shot.
Incredible value in afternoon tee times
One of the best public courses I've played in the Tampa area. It was fairly windy which increased the already difficult course even more challenging. The greens were a tad slow but in perfect condition otherwise. All fairways were perfect. Roughs we fluffy and how roughs should be. My only complain is there isn't enough shade on the course. Very few trees to park under by tee boxes and greens. So it gets really hot. The back 9 is amazing. The last stretch of 6 holes are incredible, doesn't even feel like you're in Florida. Highly recommended. I would pay $150 for a morning weekend tee time and say it's worth it. The course is miles better than TPC Tampa which is charging absurd prices. Only paid $45 for an afternoon weekday tee time.
