A8 green. They didn’t even mentioned they had punched the greens, much less this atrocity. Photo submitted by MichaelOBRIGHT on 06/11/2019

Good course, a little too slow!
Hey, real good course that gets lots of play! Starter was not too thrilled about his job...maybe having a bad day! Pace was slow conditions good!
Thank you for your positive feedback, we appreciate it. We are glad that you had a good golf experience at CHGC and hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
OK course, but not for me
I recently played Cleveland Heights. The starter, and other staff I interacted with were very friendy and very helpful.
The course itself was wide open and quite forgiving, and normally I would like this kind of course. The problem was that this course was unbelievably overcrowded and according to the staff, is like that most of the time. With continuous tee-offs the pace of play was a lot of "hurry up and wait" . Very reminiscent of I-4 traffic between Disney and Universal.
I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy this course, but it was not for me.
Pete, thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. Our tee times are set up 7 minutes apart as that is normal in the golf industry. Our main season runs from January thru April with our winter visitors being here. Spring Training will be getting started in February and that will bring more folks to our area, which is great for local businesses. We hope to see you in the near future! Brock Witmyer (GM)
Not what it used to be
Very disappointed in the condition of this course. Though I enjoyed the layout, the course conditions were nothing short of terrible. That includes the tee boxes, fairway and greens. I could understand these conditions in the summer, but it shouldn't be like this in January. I have played other courses in central Florida and none look like this.
The couple in my group who played there before mentioned how nice it was last winter and also will not be returning.
Even the "hot deal" price does not seem like a good deal for the current course conditions. This may change in the future, but for now, I would avoid this course.
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. Brock Witmyer (GM)
I don’t know what to say
I’ve lived In Lakeland since 1991 and have played here 100 times . This is the absolute worse condition course I’ve ever seen. Greens beat up, fairways have giant damaged areas that are in the middle of play. It needs to be closed and totally renovated . I’ve also never seen 27 holes available have a pace issue. It’s not ran right at all and is in awful shape. I wouldn’t play here for free. Bartow is in way better shape, sandpiper is too. These are the other cheaper courses In The area. It’s embarrassing. I’ve gave a rough review here before but I gave it another shot. Anyone working there knows what this looks like and even if u complain nicely or at least ask about it, they don’t care one bit. Whoever owns this please sell to someone who cares about golf . I wish I had pics to put on here. I should have taken some

Public course
Conditions are mediocre at best right now. Greens were sanded. Definitely need to play winter conditions to find some grass to hit off. Nice course to start if you are coming out of the cold and snow
Thank you for the feedback we appreciate it. The El Nino conditions have kept the golf course wet over the past 60 days. The Bermuda grass is dormant right now and the lack of sunlight has not helped. Warmer days are coming, and we hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Sandy Greens
No doubt the cold weather has an impact on the conditions of the golf course part the greens where sand was prevalent.
Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. We hope to see you back soon at CHGC. Thanks, Brock Witmyer (GM)

DA, thank you for the positive feedback, we appreciate it. We are glad that you had a good golf experience at CHGC and hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Muddy look
The course was so wet we should have worn rubber boots. It was also cart path only on a lot of holes, Will try it again on later date.
Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. We have had off and on rain the past month with not much sun light. The cool damp weather is making it difficult to dry out. This El Nino weather pattern is going to last into the Spring with an active Hurricane Season they are saying. We hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)

Too wet
Always sneak in a Cleveland Hths round when visiting. They did get 1” of rain a couple days before so cart paths only. Will see you all next year over MLK weekend when we come back for the soccer tournament.

Hello, ellwoodcity. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Azalea/Camelia Golf Course at Cleveland Heights Golf Club.
Inappropriate Value for a Public Golf Course
Cleveland Heights every year is a disaster until late spring and the Lakeland City Government approves funds for the four ball state tournament held in late March. The rye grass is always late late in over seeding and the course suffers immensely. Great location, wonderful layout of the 3 nines would be a great pleasure to play if only they would spend a few dollars to upgrade the course. Go play Heritage Isles, Eaglebrooke or Big Cypress for better value. Then again play Sandpiper for the same disappointment.
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit to Cleveland Heights Golf Course. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we strive to improve our course for future guests. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
A Bit Wet, but Manageable
Only played 9 on B. Pace of play was fine with a tee time before 9AM. Course is still a bit wet with cart path only in a few places. If you stay in the fairways, it shouldn't be a problem. Greens are slow.
