Good condition
I overall liked the course, but that was quickly forgotten! I arrived at the first tee about 30 minutes early after I putted and chipped for about ten minutes or so, there was none waiting or teeing off and no starter to be found, so I proceeded to head on out I played the first hole and tees off on the second when all of a sudden the starter came barrling up to my cart asking what my tee time was and rudley asking for my receipt telling me that the twosome I was supposed to play with was waiting back on the first tee. I don’t think I deserved to the sour attitude from the guy after all I am a paying customer! Won’t ever go back there!
Nice course always a pleasure to play
Been to AR many times always enjoyable
Pace of play was great
Conditions were good
What the Heck
Golf course is in awful condition. Greens are borderline not playable. Have played here many times. This bar far was the worst I’ve ever seen . They charged our foursome $60 per player. First thing I see is the practice green is closed. It appears to have some type of disease. All of the greens are showing the same. There are many great courses in the area, my advice go try them.
Geeens
Tee boxes are excellent: fairways are excellent: greens were sanded, very hard to read a green with all the sand on them. I hope whatever they are doing works, & the greens get better.
Nothing special
I arrived 45 minutes before my T-Time as a single and was told that the other party cancelled. I went to the first tee on time and there was no starter. I ended up playing between 2 foursomes and quit after nine holes. The greens were half eat up with some sort of rot. Don't waste your time or money...
Unfortunately made the tee time for the wrong day. Totally missed the tee time.
Nice course
Generous fairways with lots of slopping greens. Greens need some work to bring them up to snuff.
Horrible course
I have played the course 100+ times. Never has it been this bad.
Greens had large bare spots, bumpey, discolored and not consistent.
Fairways were uneven, tight, bare spots and rough driving on them.
Sand traps had dirt and not sand. Amount of dirt was inconsistent.
Tee boxes were as bad as the rest of the course.
Rr
5:45 hour round-greens patchy—-fairways patchy….did not see ranger all day…would not play again
Worst condition I have ever seen at this course
What the heck happened to the greens. I played this course two months ago and it was in excellent condition. I would be very upset if I had paid the going rate of more than 40$. I played for 28$ and that was too much. While I understand the need for area courses to make $$, I and at a loss to explain how this course can justify its current rates given the conditions of the greens. On one hole I was 20 feet away, between me and the hole was 15 feet of sand and no place to move the ball unless I went to the other side of the green. Fix this place or I won’t be back.
Arlington Ridge
Overall a good experience. Some par 4s are overly LONG. Not sure why. A good variety of tee boxes for all kinds of golfers. Some greens could have used a bit more grass. But certainly worth the money for the round.
Conditions just OK
Good Layout….However, greens are not the best in the area. I will play again when the reviews improve on the conditions of the greens.
Played Otter Creek, for the first time. The layout is really good and the teeing options (6) accommodated everyone in our group (from 35 to 75).
Fairways are tight and rolled out well…
Tees were in good shape, greens are elevated, a few need a bit more grass. That said, they rolled well and pins were in good spots.
Staff was super and everything is very well kept.
We will go back.
Members Only
The members here seem to think that they own the course…. Let them have it. Conditions are lousy, you can’t tell where fairways end and rough begins., greens are like shag carpet. Looked for a cheap course, found it and unfortunately, got what I paid for.
Very much agree about the condescending attitude of some members. My group does like the course and the guys in the proshop are great. However, we haven't been back in some time primarily due to a weekday morning member group that acts as though the entire course belongs to them and makes others feel unwelcome on the range or practice green.
Enjoyable, spacious golf course.
This course features wide fairways and a few areas with trees. It has an open, inviting, forgiving feel. It inspired swinging away off the tees. Greens are large and will cause three putts resulting in bogeys you thought would be pars if you aren't careful. It meanders through the housing, pace of play was excellent and there are multiple tees to match you your game.
Sorry to hear about your negative experience. Ideally, we'd like you to check in with either the Pro Shop or Starter before beginning your round; however, we understand that the Starter was not available at the time you decided to tee off. As your tee time was 10:00 and the players you were paired with had not checked in yet, the Starter ran an errand, but returned in time to get your group started on schedule. In the future, it will help staff at other golf courses if you check in with the Pro Shop (if Starter is unavailable) when you want to start before your tee time. This will give staff an opportunity to let you know what's in front of you so you may eventually pair up with others on the course. Additionally, they'll be able to let the players you were originally paired up with know that you started early. Not a major offense and we accept that we could've handled things better on our end, but food for thought going forward.
