Poinciana Country Club
About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Rude staff
I played this course through a golf discount membership. I was early for my tee time and was told I needed to wait until my tee time. No problem there, despite sitting and observing that 0 golfers teed off in the 25 minutes that I waited. At the appointmented tee time my husband and I and a third person who joined us went to the tee box. The woman who checked us in ran over and started screaming that we couldn’t tee off yet as we had to wait for her paying customers. We paid but not directly to the course. She was rude and made the experience at the course uncomfortable.
The course was not well maintained. If the course is using third party booking agents due to poor attendance, some thought should be given to how they treat customers. I wouldn’t play the course again even if it truly was free.
Poinciana Golf Club
Course is 90% par 3 holes. Course conditions are pretty horrible. Pretty expensive for what is offered. Fun to practice on.
Good course for the money
played here several times do t really have any complaints
Ok course
This course is more like an executive course open fairways and decent greens. THERE IS NO MILITARY DISCOUNT.
Friendly Staff, Easy to Hop on the Course!
It feels like home when you go to Poinciana...from Ronnie remembering everyone's name and giving rides to the parking lot...to flexibility when arriving early and getting right on the course. I love that a round takes just 3 hours and the pace of play is great. Highly recommended.
Fun and Challenging
Challenging course that is great for working on your approach game. Very firm and fast greens. Greenside bunkers placed to make you strategize your shots with smaller greens. Tough, but fun course. Will return.
Great course
It’s a great place to practice your short game and not pay ridiculous green fees during season. I play a round here almost every week with my brother and have no complaints. We love it.
Friendly place
The staff is very friendly. And the course is in okay condition. The fairways need a little work, but from the last owner, to this owner, it's 80% improvement!!
Water Hazards Galore
Really liked the course, great time finding our way around (some confusion finding Hole #10). With water water everywhere, this course presents a challenge. Excited to return and play better now that I have familiarized myself with the layout.
