Naples Lakes Country Club

I had a really enjoyable experience playing this course. The guys in the Pro Shop were nice, the bag drop guy was very nice. And the starter couldn't have been nicer. He was able to squeeze me in on the back nine between a few groups so I could play at my own pace and not worry about anybody in front of me or behind me. But once I got back to the front nine me being a single player took a little longer catching up with a few groups but wasn't so bad. But overall the course is taken care of pretty well , I would definitely play It again.

Naples Lake is a great golf course and in very good condition. Lots of water so it is a fairly difficult track. Will definitely be back.

Great course fantastic layout, friendly staff and members.

This course is the only Arnold Palmer signature course in Naples. Greens are large, fast and feature breaks in multiple directions. In many cases getting to the green is less than half of the fun.
Greens , fairways and tee boxes are well maintaned.
Fairways have plenty of well maintained bunkers and landing areas, but water hazards and Florida flora along both sides of the fairways make shot accuracy very important.
There are 5 sets of tees and combination choices on the scorecard, too..

Practice facilities are large and well stocked with range balls.

I have played Palmer designs before and was looking forward to a great round. The treatment received was top shelf, began with being greeted at the bag drop,check in,and the starter all very welcoming.
The golf course experience was exceptional tees fairways bunkers and greens many complements to the superintendent and his staff. There is no question when in the area again I will m,are it a point to come back to Naples Lakes Country Club

I was surprised to see Naples lakes available on golfnow the last time I played this course was when it first opened I think 15 years ago before it was totally private. It had no clubhouse then and they were trying to attract players. It has matured into a very good setup with clubhouse. A lot of what I saw was unrecognisable but it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and even met someone from over the pond, we had an interesting conversation about UK.

Course was in perfect shape even with the heavy rains we had the night before. Highly recommend the Arnie layout.

Course was in great shape, everyone was super friendly, great pace of play. It would be nice if they had GPS on the carts. Liked the course so much that I played it again 2 days later.

Wide and well maintained fairways, but plenty of trouble just off the fairways in the form of water hazards and woods along with high underbrush.
A few holes have forced carries over water or welands.

Greens have lots of slopes and are large and challenging. Pin locations are usually available but were not available on the dat I played. GPS rangefinders need an assist from laser rangefinders when pin locations are not available..

All around perfect day on the course. Conditions were impeccable, pace of play was brisk, and the staff was polite and professional. Couldn’t ask for a better experience...thank you Naples Lakes members for sharing the experience of this Arnold Palmer design course, and thank you to the staff for maintaining the course so well.

This course has an excellent layout. All of the holes are pleasing to the eye. You have to think about every shot. But none of the shots are intimidating. There are a couple of great risk/ reward holes.#16 is really fun. The greens have large pronounced hills and breaks in them. The conditions were good and the staff was really friendly. It's rare to see such a well designed course in south Florida. This was the best cause I have played in a long time.

I had the chance to attend the grand reopening of Naples Lakes just a few days ago. The course was designed in 1999 by Arnold Palmer, and in light of a shift in design philosophies in recent years, the membership elected to bring the King's men back to freshen the course. This was the last design project in which Mr. Palmer would be personally involved before his September 2016 passing.

APDC architect Thad Layton and his team provided Naples Lakes vibrant membership with a course that will challenge, intrigue and delight them for decades to come. Layton re-contoured all 18 greens, and they are now full of interesting undulations - both subtle and bold - that make putting and approach shots a strategic as well as execution-based adventure. Crushed coquina shell paths and waste areas provide contrast to the white-sand bunkers, and the drivable par-4 16th is one of my favorites in all of Florida. If you get the chance, accept any invitation to play Naples Lakes with alacrity.
